Because I go though this everytime I say something from so called experts that have no experience with this type of artifacts. I'm not the type to lay down when I'm right. If I'm wrong then I will admit it. Working with this everyday I do believe I have an advantage. I spend at least 40+ hrs. A week on this stuff and I'm retired. I would like to spend more time showing a point instead of defending it. It requires time to do it and this is not the only person I'm working with

Bob it is easy to explain, it is your over active imagination. No matter how hard you imagine it, it is still not a effigy, just a rock. If you want to collect rocks feel free, but don't tell us that collect artifacts to lie and tell you or a new member a rock is an artifact just to keep from hurting your feelings... I have only been collecting 33 years, there are members here with far more years of experience than I finding and collecting real artifacts.
Using your criteria every single rock found is an artifact.
.. I found this rock and I just know it has a snake on it, so don't you go a popping my bubble by telling me I have an over active imagination!
A snake is used often. Your stone represents a place that looks like the shape of the stone. The other side would have more information on it. The color black and the snake is the dark side. Sadly, I think the TV has ruined the word 'Expert' for me. Seen too many 'Experts' many too many basic mistakes. Plus no-one likes to hear someone call themselves one, that just wrong.Bob you claim your a "so called expert" as well so it works both ways.
