First, let me say that I'll get the pics up eventually... After that, let me say that this was an absolute dream day! I have never had a virgin site, especially one that produced like this! Also, let me say that all these finds were within a 1 and 1/2 hour window!
The finds were all within a tight 8 by 8 area.

1877 seated liberty quarter CC
1877 seated liberty dime
1885 seated liberty dime
1870 canadian dime
???? canadian dime (silver, looks to be the same design as the 1870)
1856 seated liberty half dime
???? capped bust dime (front is worn almost completely gone, back is still identifiable)
1903 Barber dime (newest coin I found here)

Also found was two indian head pennies 1885 and 1890
Two nickels that are totally unidentifiable
one 2 cent that is unidentifiable. If I did not have a 2 cent already to compare it to, I would never have known what it is.

I will be going back to this site today... the only bad part is the big producing area is in between a power line and a phone line, relatively close to the road... All that put together causes some serious interference on the ol' Explorer... Plus there is poison ivy everywhere! BUT!!!! To me, its worth it!

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is freakin awesome I can only dream of finding sumthin like that, cant wait to see the pics.

Oh now you guys settle down. That guy has been posting on here for a long time and Im sure he will come through with the pics, find something else to do for a bit and Im sure he will show up.

Hey...let's settle down...I'll give Dave a call this weekend...haven't spoken to him since before we went on vacation to the Crator of Diamonds...no diamonds yet to be found...still have more sluiced dirt to go through (you can take out a 5 gallon bucket a day of sluiced sand)...anyways....

None of us know if anything is going on in his life right now...

And I can tell you from what he brought to the first Pipscio Hunt...the man has a very nice collection and he even donated some of his silver coins for our little kiddie hunt!

Even ran into him and his girl around July at one of the local parks and saw him dig up a 1937 Merc Dime....(he gave it to me and it sits in my collection now :))

Don't be so hasty to judge. Maybe he just plain forgot about posting the pics...it happens.

And not everyone owns a digital camera either...infact, my son had his stolen at the Crator of Diamonds and mine just plain right out died (so I have two cameras to replace now)...thank goodness my other son still has his....

And my scanner is still connected to my laptop, which died just before our first Pipsico hunt...the monitor went out...cpu still good...just can't see a blasted thing...but buying a new laptop is not on the top of my list nor is setting up my scanner on my desktop pc...

Anyways, don't be so hasty to judge .... have a good day ya'll....

WOW. Congratulations!!!! Now that is one load of great finds. I would certainly be happy with my first seated, much less all of those great finds.

Hope you can still pull more out of this place.

hi nice finds how about some pictures of the coins

Dave

Just got off the phone with Dave....

He has since changed jobs and works 12 hours shifts. He's not even metal detected but once since his last post. He says he hopes he can get out tomorrow if he can get up early enough, since he's on his way to work now! Nor has he been on his computer!

I mentioned to him all the post on this thread and about calling his bluff (which I know he's not bluffing...not after that collection I have seen!!!!)  ;D

I told him of Sentinel's offer as well. (Thank You from Dave)

So, when he gets the chance he'll post I reckon'....if not, if he's able to make the next Pipsico Hunt, I'll have him bring the coins and will take pics....and post.

Ya'll have a great day....gonna' hit the church I was given permission to detect nearly a month ago...weather is perfect...hope it produces well :) (Fingers Crossed)

Happy Hunting,
Annmarie

The day dave found those items he called me and we talked about all he had found. Yes those and others of which he did not post about.

For a good 2-3 weeks afterword he was fighting that poison oak he got into without knowing, and just for the record if any of u have ever gotten it, u know how bad it can get especially when u get into it without knowing, hint everwhere u touch u spread it.

Not only switching jobs, a major job change at that, but trying to go from windows xp to that finicky vista that doesn`t like working with half the input devices out there and u end up with a major pain in the xxx headache.

Now with that said IF dave wishes to post them, when and if he wishes to I am sure he will, neither him nor me post on here much anymore for reasons of our own accord.

I`ve known dave for awhile and if he says he found such and such, at such and such a location, thats good enuf for me. He is not the type to make things up just for the praise or to be put on a pedestal, i think all he did for the pepsico hunt proves that.
