Dixie Digger said:i would agree with you if it was a hard fix,but the plate is held on by 2 screws and a bolt! and as you see if i had mailed it in,it wouldnt have gotten there as the warranty card has a bogus address and who knows where it would have ended up and for how long.i think the better fix was to mail the part to me ,save both of us shipping cost of a detector and all would have been well.
my return addy is not the problem!!!! its the Company Addy where to ship for repairs! the warranty card said to ship it to " 3%$65$#5" but that addy was no longer in use by them, as i did send in the part along with the warranty card and they never got eather one and told me they no longer use that addy..you must remember ,those warranty cards might be in a detector box on a shelf for 2 years before it gets sold and by then they might have moved.they had been there for 25 years i think until 1st Texas took over.so iv learned to always call ahead before you send anything card or detector!MindHunter said:I don't believe you will have any issues at all about shipping it to another address other than the one one the Warranty card....
People Move.... As long as you give them an address to where you want to receive it after repairs ... It's All Good..
