Mom put $50 in diesel in her pickup last night and it only gave her 1/4 tank....pretty depressing!

Do her best to keep it above a 1/4 tank, I try to fill/add at half. If you keep it above a 1/4 tank it helps keep the fuel pumps cool and it will last many many years longer.

Gas cars also but a diesel pumps are much more expensive

yeah...I don't have a diesel anymore but I do remember the expense when it came to repairs....they run forEVER though if you take good care of them!

yeap and for thier size they get good mileage

$20 later I have a whole 3/8 tank of fuel in my lil mazda pickup. :'( and it was not even empty but getting there. I am about ready to go start hookin the buggy back up to Shilo so I know he is ready when it gets worse! sheesh!

80 bucks to fill up my van the other day, and I had a quarter tank to start with! Filling up in the morning when its cool can get you more gas or diesel for your buck, just a little tip.

Looks like there is plenty of stuff to do around John Day, I've found a couple things I would like to check out-
Old camps, ghost towns and plenty of mining areas nearby.

Father's day weekend still OK with everyone?

It is sure okay by me! Would love to go do some exploring with ya!
