Pat Metheny / Minuano { six eight }

[lisfisher]

Just an amazing guitar player, licks I can't even dream about playing. Incredible solo starting at 1:30 into the video. The phrasing...the voicings, truly one of the finest musicians of our time.

Excellent Jazz piece

I've heard it before & of Pat Metheny Group.
But never actually sat and listened to their music.

just got through
"Are You Going With Me?"

no Guitars solos sticking out in this one that I can hear, But I'm going to have to give them a closer listen I like their style

Man, haven't really heard or thought of this guy in years!
But, now that I think of it, where is that Publix commercial?

[lisfisher]

Hi Jeff, actually in "Are you going with me", at 3:46 is the start of Pat's synth guitar solo. It's a Roland guitar with the classic Roland GR-300 synth. One of my favorites! Last train home is also one of my favorites, thanks Pat!

lisfisher, Methany was Boy Wonder as far as I'm concerned. & he has just gotten better with age. An amazing musician

Check out these crazy scales starting around 2:03. After seeing solo's like this I just wanna hang up my guitars on the wall and leave them alone lol!
