PLANS FOR A CW HUNT

I have plans to hunt on a CW site later this month.
It's only a few miles from Gettysburg

I was wondering about the bullets used in the war.
Anyone know when they were first used and for how long?
What I mean is, any I find on this site were during the war, but were they used for some years after the war as well?
Or if you find the 3 ringers do you know they are CW era?

Most coveted item? A gun. A CW soldier is no different than any other solider. Without a weapon he is nothing.Second choice,something personally inscribed.Third,sword.
