Poweball 800 Million

I have an uncanny ability to predict lottery results and I have NEVER been wrong. I tell them all your going to lose.

Ok Brad one if the jackpot winners was in TN.....:sly::D.
If we suddenly Don"t hear from you......we'll just figure it was you! Sincerely I hope it was.

TH....your in FL...hmm:what:
Who ever it was good for Ya!

We had 2. $1 million dollar winners in Mass, but it's Not me, didn't buy my tickets there.
Jackpot winners were in CA , FL & TN
Well I called that right 3 winners in three different states....You'd think I would gave been better at pick'n numbers! :D
Back to the grind stone, with a smile! :)

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER..... I HIT THE POWERBALL... (number 10)

What am I gonna do with all THAT money...???? ($4.00)

You won more than me! Now you can go around telling everyone you won the Powerball for the day!

I hit the Power Ball on 3 of my 5 tickets, won a whopping $12.00

I won $4 Bucks for the number 10 on one out of six tickets. This powerball thing is rigged :icon_scratch:

Well I didn't beat you... but I actually hit the number 10 twice for $8.00. Sounds a little better if "we" say we won $20.00 bucks.... move on... :occasion14:

Yeah, ya think?

I love it when people say, "well, someone has to win!" Uh... NO.. That's how it got to 1.5 B.

Someone does have to win, just not every drawing... Just think if the winner has paid to double his winnings...

I wondered about that too, but I guess the multiplier only counts on non-jackpot wins. You could have won almost $25!

I heard yesterday that if someone had the money they could have played every combination and made money in the end. But even at the staggering sum the pot was up to that strategy would ONLY work if there was but one winner.... Pretty hard gamble.

I cashed my few tickets in and walked away only losing $3 on my initial investment total for the past 2 drawings. The $7.00 made me feel like less of a loser :occasion14:. I still have not heard what the group is going to do with the $27 we won. I believe this will be spent on the Ohio lottery this week. We had 116 members @ $4 each in the group.

but how long would it have taken them to fill out millions of entry cards? I doubt if one person could pencil in all combinations between Saturday's drawing and yesterday's.

It applies to all wins. If it was only one winner and they paid to double the prize they would have won close to 3 billion. If you got 5 of the 6 numbers you win 1 million, if you paid to double prize you go 2 million..

well no win for me, but I only bought 1 ticket. Off to the park to see what treasures are hidden there.

it is not good for the top prize all others though

I had all the numbers! Just not all on the same line! :icon_scratch:

So a friend and I were pondering last night....... how much goes back to the g'ment and state? :icon_scratch:
The stores get .05 cents per ticket, and the g'ment gets 50%. So if $1billion is the jackpot, then our g'ment also made $1billion.
Then, they're going to TAX your winnings, and if you live in a state with state tax, they get a cut...... :BangHead:
whadda racket...... :notworthy: :dontknow:

And, kinda ironic, on the back of every ticket, it says: "If you know someone with a gambling problem......" ???

not trying to be a political post, it's a lotto post. 8-)

I read years ago that the lottery commisions roadblocked the system of buying huge blocks of tickets. It's basically impossible to stand and buy enough tickets to make a gimme-win. The practice of buying the majority of tickets was done in the early stages though.

Ya I think the person wanting to play all the combinations would have to start early getting slips filled out and would have to get hundreds of people to play them in a lot of different lottery places. I wonder if it can be done, and What would it cost them?
