In my opinion there is a much bigger problem here than just that psychotic lunatic. But if you can somehow get him removed, then the rest is a non-issue.

In his head, he honestly believes that the property belongs to him and that he is the rightful owner. In my book, that means he has mental issues and needs psychiatric counseling. His rap sheet further backs up my claim that the is not right in the head. Obvious brain damage.

I did notice from his record that his late aunt has had to evict him too, not just the bank. Now he camps out on his brothers property. I can't imagine he thinks my property is his. But, he also knows from years of experience that LE won't do their jobs, so he apparently has no fear of shooting folks. LE needs to stop protecting this guy... Wonder what he has on certain LE and/or officials? I sure hope Sheriff Crenshaw deals with this. I undertand one of his campagne promises was to deal with the corruption in the ranks, and another was to protect people. I also understand this is his first term as Sheriff, Lets hope he meant what he said before elected. I also learned that he (the Sheriff) headed up the Criminal Investigation Department for years before running for Sheriff... this youtube radio interview is telling as to what he was thinking before becoming sheriff -- I'm hoping he meant what he said from the 18 to 20 min mark...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IIjmbv9-co#t=29

Not 100% sure about it, the abbreviations they use on the web site are undifined for me, and they do not spell anything out in plain english like on some court case sites. But this event : Public Index Error

Shows under the actions tab that a warrant was issued but he does later get sentenced to - you guessed it - time served again. That warrant was issued 05/09/2012, and I now see he was later arrested 08/22/2012 for '#1 GENERAL SESSIONS BENCH WARRANT' nice photo: Morris Morgan Mugshot | 08/22/12 South Carolina Arrest and that must be for that case?

But the dates don't match up.

And almost 2 years later 07/10/2014- they again mention a warrant, the most recent entry. If you notice he had 2 weeks to pay and it still shows not paid.

The information on that site is a bit sketchy so who knows what the facts actually are. I don't.

Has anybody pinged the sheriff yet to see what he has to say?

On the link with the guy's picture there was also a Google Earth picture of where he lives. Just wondering if this was near your property where he shot at your husband.

I've been following this thread and keep coming up with the same thought. Is it possoble he's a CI(confidential informant). That might explain why he's still a free man. Also it's fall is it possible he's protecting a gensing crop? Gensing harvestors are very ruthless and dangerous. Just some thoughts.
 

Just a thought here, not that it may be a viable option for you, but other ideas may come to light along the same lines.

I was speaking to friend and your situation came up (we were talking about what the heck is wrong with people lately), and he mentioned that some years back there was a very disruptive neighbor behind his brothers property. Evidently those people were renting and were real jerks about everything. You get the picture.

Their property had been in foreclosure for some time, and finally the bank took possession. Those people squatted on the land for a long time and would still not leave, even after being thrown in jail a few times. Anyway, my friends brother bought a very cheap foreclosure at the county auction (around $1,700) and GAVE it to the offensive neighbors! They left and have not been seen since.

Problem gone, and he could now enjoy his property peaceably. I don't know if something like this would work for you since the property you have was in his family and he could return at a future date. I'm only throwing the idea out there.

Maybe a cheaper way out is to give him a one-way bus ticket to Seattle?

Amen.... Wouldn't lose no sleep here at all either... in fact I'd sleep better. Anybody that low to take shots at an old man riding a lawn mower from long range needs to be dealt with in a different matter if L.E. isn't interested. Easily arranged within area. Let L.E. just move on.... to a traffic stops and such. Attempted murder doesn't seen to hit the radar. I swear Terry... if it were me... I'd raise the damn roof from local, district, state then Federal.
 

I wanna add something else folks.... If I hadn't meet Steve and Terry and daughter personally I might not have a lot to say or fire back with opinions based upon their situation. But that's not the case. I, my grandson and my buddy Frank went there to spend time and explore their area and pan the creek. Terry arranged for my Grandson, Frank and I to stay at a nice hotel because they had in the past accumulated enough "points" to arrange for us to stay and were about to lose them.

These folks moved there not looking for trouble at all but to have fun and move onto a new adventure. But, not the one they now face. I and my grandson were personally confronted by the perp's brother while we were walking up the road to MD on our first morning there. We were ON their property (Steve & Terry's barely from their home) and questioned about why and who said we could be there....? I can't EVEN IMAGINE IF SOMEONE STARTED TO SHOOT AT MY GRANDSON AND I THAT DAY....!!!!!!!!!! I'd have a completely different story I'd be posting if I could or maybe I'd just move on... which is probably more likely.

Brad, I promise I am making as much noise about things not being done by LE as I can. Whatever has caused them to try to sweep this under the rug needs to be dealt with. The criminal that tried to kill my husband, and assaulted my daughter, and I needs to be dealt with by LE. We're peaceful people! These thug (right out of diliverance) scumbags that have no fear of local LE even when they commit attempted murder, and should be behind bars. We need to be able to take care of our own property withour fear of being murdered or assaulted.

Oath Keepers have been in touch, and have offered to help get us some protection, they are sending some people to meet with us.

Obviously this camper is out of control. I wouldn't have my family anywhere near this place until it's dealt with!
What he and the local LE don't want you to find is who's buried there!
Document everything. Video everything! Put up dummy cameras he can shoot out all the while the real cams are rolling.
Stay alert at all times.

Your friend who is suffering from kidney stones should take magnesium/zinc tablets.
I suffered several times and was hospitalized twice with kidney stones. This was in my twenties.
My wife had read in Prevention Magazine about a woman who suffered yearly with bouts of kidney stones until she discovered Magnesium/Zinc and then never had stones again after taking.
We tried it and it worked and I've never had kidney stones again and I'm 65.
Also it's not a mineral therapy you have to take all the time for prevention of the stones. Just once in a while will work perfectly.
I recommended this therapy to a guy at work in his early twenties and then asked him years later if he ever suffered from kidney stones again and he said no! It works by not allowing the stones to form. A very natural cure! Best of luck!

have you talked with the owner, of the property, the shooter, was shooting from
i was thinking he/she would not be happy with the exposure the shooting has
brought about. it is their property, they have the option to say hey shooter/thug

do you know why the owner, would put up with such BS on his/her property
i just cant see the owner of the property that Morris shot from,being ok with this
and doing nothing at all
hell i cant even see it being ok as a misguided defense, of some sort

Property owner is the brother, whom also has "bad teeth" I think most of his BS is in previous posts....
