For what it's worth we have a chimney cap with a fairly metal grill edge all the way around with fairly small holes so no risk of birds making their way into the chimney. It might be something worth considering.

There's a creek that i was checking out just a little bit ago. I was like there's an awful lot of glass in this creek. I hoped off the four wheeler and worked my way down the bank about 14ft and on one side it's nothing but bottles sticking out of the bank.
Well i asked my dad about the trail i was on and he told me it's called dump road. I tried doing research on the place and the only thing that I could find was the EPA came in 2000 and made the county clean the place up.

Yes such where common in farm areas with farms under 1000 acres, farms where they needed as much production land as they had.

If its buried now then likely that was partly from nature but also the EPA who does not always clean things up properly. What I am saying is the dump was most likely a washout. Deeper in you go the old you will find.

Easy enough to check really, look at the bank and see how high up the bank it is, walk back behind that spot about 20 feet and dig down.

Another thing you could do is check the water down stream until it gets to a bend or the entrance to another washout. MD it well, use your carrot for the water.

We have some large ranches in my family and I was always shocked at the stuff I found at our dump sites, our where on our own properties.

There has been two weeks of wind and rain here and somehow the old cap with mesh came loose and fell off.
I have an 18' foot outside chase attached to a a 9/12 pitch roof, not to be walked on when wet.

They bulldozed all this trash and covered it up because there is an old concert light post pretty close to the bottom. There's coke bottles from the 40s and 50s so there has to be older stuff. Tomorrow I'm fixing my lawnmower trailer and going down there and digging.

There is a user on here called TrashureSeeker, he started off here out of Hamburg Germany asking all sorts of questions from MD types, how to and so on. He pays for all his stuff through his finds.

WHat I am saying is if you can get your hands on them old bottles, them grab them up, grab up whatever you can and sell it. Undercut whatever market there is on it.
