kcm,

Neat info....also not sure if it's known or not but at one time hemp was a very common plant used to not only make paper but cloth also. Hemp is basically the stalks of marijuana plants also there was a time when it was legally sold in the U.S. and the post office even issued tax stamps to cover circa 1920's or 1930's I seem to recall.

Regards + HH

Bill

Yes Bill, but making underwear from hemp somehow doesn't seem as WRONG as making it from STINGING NETTLE!! Perplexed - Copy.gif

Folks,

I guess our buddy Tom is getting his beauty rest or the missus has him grounded for nipping at her coffee stash....lol.

Bill

Nah, we've had enough block-heads in there already!

...On the other hand, at least everyone would KNOW that this block-head would be controlled by someone else. :laughing7:

Here's a couple more videos I found about using Stinging Nettles for fabric and rope:

We always have Nettle growing around here in Summer. Groundhogs will eat some, but never all of it. This is starting off looking like it might be a bumper-crop season!

There's also videos about how Nettles are so very nutritious and some folks are trying to get them classified as a super food.

Then there's also other medical benefits. One in particular has to do with relief from chronic pain. I've been thinking about trying it, but waiting for things to slow down some. ...Maybe in another 20 years or so. :tongue3:
