Well went to several places detecting for civil war artifacts today and didn't find much from running away from pop up showers and skeeters but when I left there we decided to check out a possible turn of the century home place till one of the landowners we hunt on got home. Was walking along out in the back yard of this old house and never found anything good except for 2 zinc cents when I walked near a recent looking burn pit and right on top of the ground where some dirt had been turned over was this token. It reads on the obverse "save at the sample stores bentonville and Rogers Arkansas" and on reverse says " every dollar earns 3% interest 3 cents" looked it up and it's a freaking r-9 on rarity and only 3 to 5 known to exist. Talk about a good day:)

Teverly I for one am not getting angry if I can deal with being with the united states navy seals and law enforcement I can take a few words of others and let em roll off my back. I was simply stating the glade tokens are only similar in having the same reverse. The Sam Walton ones are quite but more scarce. I have looked through two books and talked to two numismatist and they only have heard of these and said the glade variety are very common but mine is not. One offered me money but I may get a few prices and thought about donating it to Walton family museum

Dug this token last year, got only a few nods from the people here.
Won W&E Find of the Year.
Sh!t happens.
Chill.

And this thread is an example of why I decided not to pay for another charter membership. Smokin Joes thread was another. People cannot just say "good find" or "nice find". This forum is turning into a catty, popularity contest. Sad really. used to be a great forum.

Ryan you sure a right.

I like to get on Treasurenet and see what the others
are finding and if I have something negative to say
then I say it to myself to avoid an argument.
I think we are all adults here and should just get along.
BTW that is a sweet looking token, congrats!

Looks like a great token to me... Congrats! Keep digging and posting.

Yea. Went back out today and found some wheaties and a shield nickel

It's a nice token regardless of rarity! If it is as rare as you think, it deserves a banner. Who decides Tnet? Maybe you should send it in for authentication to verify it's rarity.

I did today then went out and found that shield nickel

Got token back today and it's genuine and it's not a r-9 but still good at a r-8. Happy maybe worth a few bucks

Nice find, and nice attitude.
