Heavy junk mechanic 1341, computer geek 4066, and a PMI (primary marksman instructor)

Spent most of my time at Cherry Point in MWSG-27, MWSS-274. Lets not forget 3yrs in here at Gitmo Bay (some of the best scuba diving I have done). Spent the last 3 years at 4th Marine Recruiting District HQ in New Cumberland, PA where I blew out my knee for the last time and got a medical discharge. If that would not have happened, I think I would be on my 21st year of service. I miss the Corps!

Got to poke some fun at the Navy... Whats the lowest form of Marine life??? A Squid!

Drove a truck delivering everything, AVLB bridges, Mail, Groceries, eqiupment, ammo. We drove regular Semis like you see on the street. Cab-over international transtar with sleepers. Been to every base in Europe a hundred times, air bases in Holland, Shusterburg comes to mind. We even drove through checkpoint Charlie all they way to Berlin in a convoy one time.

How cool would it be to run into one of your old buddies here!

FTA.

Love those International transtar 2. They were a poular truck back in the day

Went in for the old, "re-up" talk about 1 month before I got out. A 2nd Lt. was behind the desk and said I could have a seat. The first thing he did was open my file and reach into a drawer and pulled out some Staff Sargents stripes, threw them on the desk and said, "These are yours for 2 more years". As I really liked the Army I asked, "Where will I go from here?" He looked over my file for a minute and then said, "Hmmm, helicopters. You know where you will be going". I responded, "No thanks , I'm going home".
Went over to Vietnam as a Petro. Specs. and ended up spending my time up in the air in a Huey. A high school buddy went over to Vietnam as a machine gunner and ended up being a postal clerk. Ahhhh. The Army always made sure they trained you for the right job from the beginning. :icon_scratch:
