Ruffed Grouse and Wood duck

Found the grouse in the woods a half mile or so behind our house today, and the duck by a pond up the road a ways.
North Central Idaho.

I remember grouse hunting once in Southern Ohio. I posed zero risk to any grouse in those thick woods. However I did score several patches of bark. Similar with ducks, I couldn't hit a cow in the ass with a mop!
