second thoughts on point type/ Marion?

I found this a couple months ago now and figured it a Marion.. I need to better my knowlage of flaking styles a bit..would like some opinions...thanks. (N.cent. Fla.)

All I can tell you about it is it's one pretty son of a gun! I need to read more about flaking also. I have a book on flaking. It tells the time and region for all the flaking styles, but is pretty vague in doing so. It has illustrations rather than close up pics of real points. I hate that.

The size would be a great thing to know. The side beveling is very long so I am guessing it is quite thick and hardly ever resharpened. Can you even start to think what the guy said when he knew he had lost it.

Its alot of stone for sure. 3 3/8 " long 2" wide. Perfectly balanced with the weight towards the front. If I were to drop it point first from waist high it would stick in a board.

Its another one that is borderline. Since the shoulder is straight and the ears don't come down. I found other Newman's there so Mabey..or Marion since they are related.
