So today I went metal detecting with the club in rhode island and I found this bottle in sleuth way of an old mill. I'm curious to the age of this one. It's a crown top but it has no seems at all and I believe it has an applied lip. It's very heavy and it has no markings on it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.- Justin

Tooled lip maybe, applied lip highly unlikely, 1920-40 paper label beer bottle would be my guess without seeing it in person

And in curious of use. Would it have been beer, soda or booze?

I'm thinking 60% beer 40% ginger ale...

Thank you epackage all the 40s green beer bottles I'm finding on net all have seems. the bottle is very heavy and has a lot of bubbles an imperfections in the glass.

It could be earlier but I can't tell from the pics provided...

Sorry the pics arnt good ill get better ones when I can get some natural light.

Here's some better pics. Thanks

Hey Justin,

I've dug a couple early 20th Century crown caps that were made in a turn mould. Can you see any concentric rings on the body of the bottle, indicating it may have been turned?

This photo somewhat illustrates what I am speaking of:
