Silver @ face and other keepers log

Great! with so many hunters finding older coins in these boxes it gives us all hope! you just never know! keep up the good finds and good luck!

Nice score with a 0.3%er plus another walker.

Great finds, SF! I've yet to find a half older than a '64. Can't wait to find my first Franklin, Walker or Barber!

Thanks. Its always fun finding a Walker. Im still looking for my first Barber too. Just never know when and where you'll find em with this hobby. :)

H$H!

Nice walker buddy. Hope the sweet finds keep coming.

Steven

Nice walker, I love finding them!

Well, I just found my 100th silver keeper of the year in $50 of mwr nickels I was finishing up from yesterday. :)

4/15:
$.50 loose half: clad
$50 mwr nickels: '39, '42S, '43P, 6 x '40's, 8 x '50's, '09P

I have one or maybe two half boxes to p/u tomorrow so hopefully I can find a little more silver before the week is through.

H$H!

Good luck with your boxes tomorrow. I'm picking up two as well. Keep on rolling!

Thanks. I'm hoping for another good box or two tomorrow. After mostly skunk boxes for over a month at my main p/u bank I've found a 90% and 2 40% from each of my last two boxes there. And I'm hoping I'll have another half box to p/u from another bank tomorrow too that I've had pretty good luck at in the past. Good luck with your boxes too.

Well not much luck today but at least I found a little more silver to add to the pile.

Doing better than I have, all I found this week was a beat up proof SBA that I tossed back. It was so scratched up, you could hardly tell that it was a proof.

Nice!

Skunksville for me so far...I went through one box and it was full of those marked coins where they ran a sharpee down the sides. The first few of the second box also have the same markings. I have one more to pickup. Good luck with your weekend nickels.

Well I finished the week with a pretty good nickel box. The box had an unusually high number of '41 dates - 7 x '41(P)'s including one ender, and one '41s (small s) and one '41S (large S). I also found a '43D (my second this year) and 2 buffalos including a '36S which is in pretty nice condition except it looks like it has dried glue on reverse - maybe because someone had it glued on some type of a display. And in one of the last rolls of the box I found a dated 1913 T1 buffalo which is kinda dark on the reverse but I dont see a mint mark. This is the third 1913(P) T1 buffalo I've found since sometime early last year. I also found my first designer ender - a nickel with a clear Ralph Lauren Polo sticker on it. :tongue3:

4/18:
$100 (String) nickel box: 1913 T1, 1936S, '43D, 15 x '40's (including 7 x '41(P)'s (1 ender), '41s, '41S), 6 x '50's, '09P, 2 x '04 Canadians

4/19:
$30 mwr nickels: '39, '42, 2 x '52S, '53

Another great nickel box! Well no wars or buffs in my weekend box, but I got a 70 proof so I can't complain.

Thanks guys. Yeah a nickel box with a war and two dated buffalos is a very good box for me - esp with one of the buffalos being a better date 1913. I still haven't found my first V nickel yet but I keep getting close finding 1913 buffalos now for the third time. I have a half box to p/u tomorrow so hopefully I can find at least a little silver tomorrow to start off the week. Good luck to u guys too.

H$H!

That's a great box, SF! Nice finds!

thats great! you make me want to pickup a box of nickels

It sure was a week of mighty slim pickens. Just one lone war nickel for the whole week.

4/21:
$500 half box #33: skunk

4/22:
$50 mwr nickels: '44P, 4 x '40's including a '47(P) w/steps (probably just VF condition), 7 x '50's inc a 51S and a 58(P) w/steps

4/23:
$4.50 loose halves: clad

4/24:
$1 loose halves: clad
$500 half box #34: skunk
'09P dime in change at dump bank

4/25:
$5 loose halves: clad
$450 mwr halves: skunk
$100 string nickel box: skunk - just 2 x '39, 15 x '40's, 14 x '50's, '09D, 3 x '09P

I also found 8 x 2014P nickels in the nickel box which weren't keepers but those were the first 2014 coins I've found so far this year.

I hope to have 2 half boxes to p/u on Monday which Im hoping will produce at least a little silver.
