What's the silver content in the nuggets? Are they melt nuggets?

[Cappy Z.]

I frequently use silver nuggets for fishing sinkers. The water doesn't get polluted. And, the added sparkle increases my catch numbers. Not surprising, the rivers are full of them.

I would like to add this link. It shows some good pics of naturally occuring silver from 4 different locales. http://www.meteorlab.com/METEORLAB2001dev/platgroupmetals.htm

I remember your posting in What Is It. Have you confirmed it yet with a silver test solution? Would be great if it turns out to be silver. Your pic is blurry but I have a feeling its either melted aluminum or lead alloy or you found some of Cappys sinkers.

[boris]

ammo is lead, turns white with oxidation. Could this be platinum? or something better? They tell me my rings are melted beer cans.? Have it tested acid? See silver color nuggets posted by Boris as these things are near the Whydah and Westport Point too{Massachusetts}.

Been a while since I talked to you on the phone, but I finally found the source of Tobe Inmons silver bullets North of Dover. Arkansas Tech geology confirmed my finds a couple weeks ago. Give me a holler and I'll take you up there. Ron
