Skunked on a box of halves today -- My statistics for the year

Hi All, just wanted to update everyone that I was skunked on my 6th box for the year. So far only 2 of the 6 boxes have been skunks so I'll be content for now. Out of 6,000 coins I've found 10 40%ers and 1 Walking Liberty. Here are the stats I'm tracking:

Average 90%ers per box = 0.17
Average 40%ers per box = 1.67

Average ounces of silver per box = 0.31
Total ounces of silver this year = 1.84

Are these averages in line with your averages? Still hoping to find a dream box!

I usually do a little better than that but I haven't gotten any for a while. It may have dried up around here also.

It does to be some what average unless your on the east coast. Keep at it, with all the people coming into the hobby and as more and more people wake up to silver. You will look back on these days with fondness. Still out there in the words of Rileyboy just more and more competition for a shrinking amount of "wild silver".

I don't do boxes much. Hand-rolled and bags work for me, 46 keepers out of the last $860 searched.

So far for my year I searched through $3,000 in half dollars(6,000 coins) and have gotten:

90%
1964p
1963p

40%
9 mixed dates(did not write the dates down, just "x" amount of 40%) though I have not gotten a 1965 or 1970 yet but have all other dates.

My average would be:
90%- .33 (1/3 boxes)
40%- .67 (2/3 boxes)

But i did get a nice score off of a half dollar bag... which is not included:

I'm pretty new to the hobby, but here is my half results for the past month:

That's 27 - 40%, zero 90%, and if I didn't count the loose 'lucky roll' that had 11 - 40% in
it, my total # of 40% would have been 16. I've only been doing it for a month, so I can't
really say what my 'norm' is, but I feel that I've been lucky so far, I could've had all skunks.
