Due to the time of year I will periodically hunt in the snow. Will the XPD2 work if snow is on the coil or will I need the antenna?

Pictures are from yesterday.

I would bet that in shallow, fluffy snow, it would work ok. Deeper, heavier snow.....? Then again, how deep of snow can you swing a loop? That might be the limiting factor.

I've hunted in 10" snow with my equinox. Put the recovery speed at 3. Picked up stuff in the top 3-4 inches of dirt.
