Could be from the front of a buggy. I forget what they are called, but the front of a buggy has a leather covered frame that looks a lot like that.

Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. It sticks in my mind it's called a "dash" like the dash board in a car, but I don't know for sure. Long long ago and far far away I owned a couple of buggies, and my mind isn't as good as it use to be, if it ever was.

New photos and measurements Frame, Gate or What?

I still don't know what this is, but here are some better photos, I think the thought of a buggy grill is cool. It was bolted on to something!

Hey, can I get you sidetracked and ask what the floral, heart? shaped pan? is to the lower right of the saw blade? Looks interesting - cast iron? Closer pix?

Such an neat assortment of finds!

No problem, I think it is a decorative piece and it says Quapaw on it, which is both a name of a city and a Native American Indian Tribe, that is all I know about that! Thanks for your interest and reply. Cindy
