Took my son out to try out his Teknetics Alpha yesterday evening to a lot that used to have an old high school in it.
His very first target ends up being an 1895 IHP!! He was stoked from that point on. After about an hour, it gets dark enough that we start heading back to the truck. Half way back, he gets a solid dime signal. After digging the plug and flipping it over, the coin was in the side of the plug...maybe 2 inches deep.
He retrieves it and with the light from my cellphone, he was speechless when he seen the date.
1852 seated liberty dime!! I was so happy for him. He'll it took me almost 5 years to find my first seated coin!!
