I pulled a Ferris Bueller today and headed out for a Monday morning water hunt in South Florida. The ocean was calm and my CTX 3030 was hitting on a lot of gold and silver jewelry in between the crusty bottle caps. My good finds for the morning include a 14K chain with small diamond pendant, a big mama jamma 14K white and yellow gold ladies with 80 small diamonds, an 18K gold wedding band, a 24K gold wedding band, a 14K two tone ladies ring with 3 diamonds, a silver and gold ring, a silver and gold ear ring. I also found 5 silver rings, a silver chain and a nice silver crucifix and the usual assortment of clad coins and fishing weights.

WOW! Great gold finds,Gary.Congratulations on a great hunt.

Your finds are very amazing. Well done congratulation. Thank you for sharing Gary.

Awsome . how deep into the water did you have to go?

Thanks for all the nice replies, most of these finds were chest to shoulder deep.
Cheers Gary

I would love to see Gary out there with the least capable (bottom of the barrel) detector that was marginably suitable for where he was detecting.
With his skill and knowledge, I have no doubt that he would do better than I with the best detector made that was suitable. Way to go Gary, you are a true inspiration of what is possible.

Dang, awesome!!!!

Another awsome day Gary..... the pile of Gold just got bigger.....

Great haul, congrats!

Gary, A couple more questions. What scoop are you using? My RPG is dificult to use in deeper water as the current rips it off the target as soon as I move the coil. It has a rounded bottom that tends to roll right or left as I try to use my foot to push it. Do you wear a diving mask at that depth? Im still working up in Jersey now where the green water makes it hard to acuratly place the scoop as I cant see my bright yellow PI coil at that kind of depth.

I use Ron DeGhettos T Rex scoop for all my water and beach hunting needs and yes I prefer to use a mask and snorkel when the water is clear enough to see which is most of the time in South Florida.

Beautiful gold finds,Gary.Congratulations on a great hunt.
