Still finding stuff, but it's getting harder...

Still scratching around on small areas of recently sown Bird Cover/Game Strips. Plus a recently planted spring crop field has draw a blank. Other than in 1 corner where we had a few bits of lead & roman nails. Makes us think there maybe something on the other side of the hedge - needs looking at after harvest.
Cru'Dad also did a patch of failed crop & got a nice large Roman Coin we need.

Lead Token
17th C Token
Roman Coins
Poor quality Hammered
Roman/Medieval/17th C Pot Shards
Bits...

Still...targets are still showing. Getting harder to find detectable land here as well...crops are in and grass/hay is tool long.

Seeing your finds gives me hope... I'm completely out of options right now. With some luck i can start again mid of next month if the oilseed rape is cut short.
Good finds for the outskirts of a site!

Good finds for the outskirts of a site!

The large Roman Coin came from 'The Hill' (The one with the holed coins/siliqua  )

Hey, difficult but successful. What long cross is that?

Congrats

I think you had a great hunt! Congratualtions! :occasion14:

Good job on the Romans, especially the big one, and hammered never hurt!

Its hard tell, I can tell its a York Mint Penny, might be Ed IV.

You did pretty well for running out of options. Like ROMEO said we are near done here.
