Strange Purse ?

Man, it must have been very difficult to get yer last dime out of the tailpiece . Maybe paper money was rolled up and stuffed down the tubular end, or you put a stick down long end and loaded other end with halves or silver dollars, and made a makeshift "black jack".......NGE

I have a templer sword from my Grandfather, in a scabbard, and it's all stored in a nice sewn to fit cloth wrap...

I can see this "purse" holding a silver pipe holder to keep it protected.
