Thank you all for your emails and phone calls during my convalescence following my shoulder surgery. It really helped me make it through the long winter. I have been able to get out and detect some, mostly around some old houses. I have been lucky in locating a few decent finds. I believe the oval piece in the picture is a knee buckle. I would like to have some other opinions about it. The quarters and the dimes came from five different house sites. The half dollars come from different locations. It is still a big thrill for me to dig silver coins, whether they are dimes, quarters, or halves. The Walking Liberty half came from a very strange location...but that story is for another day. The buckle underneath the knee buckle is a child's baseball buckle. It is damaged, but you can see two crossed baseball bats below a baseball. I did manage to score one Civil War item, which was a scabbard tip. I found a Mountain Dew token, two Presidential tokens, a 25th Anniversary token, and a Red Goose Shoe token. That makes four Red Goose Shoe tokens that I have found. It was a pleasant surprise to dig a Purina knife today because I had never found one. Thank you all for looking and for caring enough to stay in touch with me while I was laid up.
Dman

Glad your shoulder is starting to get better and you're feeling good again. You'll be out there whipping up on Quindy shortly! :laughing9: Congrats on those finds too Doug!

I realize how much your shoulder has bothered you. You made some great finds over the last house hunts an hour at a time. I had one of those Purina knives as a kid. Get ready for a 4 hour hunt with Josh next week, Q.

sweet load of silver, congrats!

Based on all those goodies, I would say it looks like you are well on your way to recovery! Nice saves!

Very nice Doug!

Are these the new Fisher finds? :headbang: I'd say you are doing fantastic with it. Nice silver haul. I'm glad your feeling better my friend.

Nice finds. I love that purina pocket knife....

Welcome back and great finds!

Glad your shoulder is doing well enough for you to get back out there and swing...I know how it feels, I was laid up off and on for the past year, but you just gotta get up and go. Very nice finds Dman...and I hope that shoulder will hold up so you can show those guys how it's supposed to be done. :laughing7: :laughing7: HH! Who is paying for lunch next hunt?

Great looking finds and congrats on all the silver! HH, Mike

glad you are on the mend. If that is what you do when convalescing then I know you will be having a great year!

Welcome back Dman. We have missed your posts, and I'm sure Quindy has missed you becauses he's had to carry his own equipment. ;D
Great job on those tokens and awesome silver. That is honestly the only Franklin half I ever remember seeing here on Tnet. :icon_scratch: You just never see them posted.
Welcome back buddy. :occasion14: :occasion18:

Some of the finds are with the new Fisher Gold Bug pro. The Purina knife, a couple of the tokens, Brass hair barette and buckle, also one of the keys were found with the Fisher. All the silver coins were found with the Minelab SE.
Thanks

Dang, Burt! :o Looks like your spell of resting is over. :icon_thumright: Tell Quindy if he doesn't want to go hunting with, Nana will! Love all the tokens. Saw one of the Mt Dew tokens going for $15. :o What is the Macon Co tag? GREAT on the silver too! :icon_pirat: Lots of terrific relics there!
So good to see you out hunting again. :)

Nana :hello:

Lmao.... I see you personalized Quindy's jacket.

Glad you are back to swinging again. Those are some nice finds - you did quite well on the silver! I don't think you have a knee buckle there though. Although there are oval shaped knee buckles (see first pic below), yours doesn't look right to me. Knee and shoe buckles are always cast, yours looks stamped to me. Check for reinforced pin terminals like these on the back (second pic below) to tell for sure.

Glad you are back in the 'Swing' ;D
Great pile of Silver!
Nice time span of relics too

Might want to check out the 1943 1 Franc coin: if I recall, that's silver too.

All those finds say your shoulder must be doing great, what a haul!!!!!!
