The Bean field gives up a seated halfdime and more.

Greetings friends.
The corn is getting so high the corn field sites will have to wait until after the harvest so
I went back and pounded the bean field this week Where the 1870 farmstead was.
I got lucky and found some good targets. Hope you enjoy the pics.
Thanks for looking and best luck to all. Merf

Re: The Bean field gives up a seated halfdime and more.

It's like a beauty pageant there!

Re: The Bean field gives up a seated halfdime and more.

That's a sweet half dime Merf. I have been hunting a bean field down here also, no silver yet a couple of indians and a wheat though. Oh yea and the usual marbles. I seen you find those copper rivets also, they sure sound good, I dig a hand full of those each time I hit a site. Keep up the good work.

I guess the Plumbing Job will have to wait until the Electrolysis set's in on the wrench Merf!!!........I can't believe the coinage coming out of the field, absolutely awesome. The Bean's down this way are Huge and the corn is ready to do what corn does!!! :wink:The find's are beautiful, the dime is anything than less than Sweet.....Hopefully the CW field's will be ready a little sooner than the Ill. field's.......Great Job Merf!!!!

Thanks Civil  That site also gave up the 1820 2 real and 1867 nickel.
It was sure a mood lifter. Not that many targets, only iron, copper , lead, or silver.

Hey Merf. Very sweet and lucky. ;D ;D

Don and I got our own cornfield here in Ohio. Circa 1820's  Like you the cornfield will have to wait. We tried around the house today but the dirt had all been redone and we didn't find much other than beer cans at 6". :P

Bob

Thanks Bob  I have dug beer cans at 10 inches ;D ;D

Awesome finds!

Right in the middle of all of your odds and ends pic, you have an oval with four tabs on it. Do you know what that is???

I found the exact same thing last week at a very old estate property in Michigan where we also found some indian heads, and a nice crotal bell.

Here is a picture of mine - front and back:

I also posted it just now in the "what is it?" forum to see if anyone there can identify it.

Hope it is an early harvest. :icon_sunny:

Yeah--me too. We'll have enough woods sites to subsist on until November, but in the meantime it's like an omnivore eating only veggies. :(
