When you reach /end up at a place where some one is fading....
It is a place to put your own wants and emotions besides empathy aside.
That does not assure you can.

Some one was there a while back when I needed to be in such a place.
While I did alright with it , watching some one else do so with grace was enlightening.
No , I don't intend to not be me even though standing off my personal conflict(s) when being empathetic .
But I did learn by observation that some folk excel at helping others while dealing with grief themselves.
One of those folks you admire , but know you won't emulate.

The dying and those near dying were met with grace.
No one cared their past. It was the moment that mattered and dignity (deserved or not was no matter) being the goal was part of that meeting/place.

Would we be met with graciousness in our own passing? Despite conflict with others?
And what if those others represented ourselves and our past?

Some folks dying alone (minus friends or relatives or even an enemy) still communicate with who is around as if they were some one else.
It is the mind doing what it deems needing done. A coping? Or settling matters?
I don't know what those totally alone do. But will wager some of them still communicate. Even if a fly on the wall perceived it as only still one sided.
And of course a voice is not required to communicate.
Which is why treating folks who are not "conscious" as if they are matters to some. Myself included.

She keeps calling.
I don't answer.
I can't.
I won't.

She can now know how it feels to be abandoned!...

Give this a listen Mike.

Only you can make that decision Mike.
It takes a very strong person to do the hard things in life.

God bless you, prayers for you all.
