And then across mine... AFTER it hangs around off the coast for a day or so.

This will be interesting... thank goodness for that upper level... SHOULD... repeat should... keep strengths down... but this is yet to be seen.

Getting closer to my house. It's still on the back side of cuba.....but we have been taking a beating for 4 days now. Strong wind and rain yesterday. Just wind so far this morning. My shop is a tent shop so we stayed up late and took all our machinery indoors. Might take the canopies down this morning. Trying to make the last minute decisions now. Its critical to make the right calls now. Don't want to do unnecessary work but don't want to neglect anything either. Hoping the cut in the video is getting worked right now.

This is and has been one of those stressful seasons... definitely the most active on record.

Florida has dodged several storms this season... now at the end of season we are gonna get "something"... not sure exactly what yet... I think I am in a worse position than Bart is... due to Cuba will knock it back down before going to him...

BUT... then it will emerge into gulf and possibly strengthen again then head my way.

Don't like it one bit... I will be in full prep mode all day and continue prep mode until I have seen a reason otherwise.

I have learned to not assume tracks and forecasts are "correct"... these can change within hours leaving little reaction time and limited choices should it rear its head and place the bulls eye on ya.

Also... I will point out...

Its not a "hurricane" that we here worry solely about... its the "byproducts" that worry us more sometimes... the flooding... the power outages... and worse of all.. the tornadoes and waterspouts can be generated by EVEN a tropical burst here.

Scary thing about spouts and tornadoes here is they are small... fast developing ... fast moving... and before any notification many times they are breaking bad.

I can't imagine living with 6 inches of snow on the ground for 6 months a year !! Plus....if its not gonna be a super bad storm......I plan on having a hurricane party... woooo hoooo.....starts now !!
