I will wear my mask out in public, because I do not know for sure, plus I do not want to freak out my fellow citizens.

I think I had told you all before, about being required at the doctors office visit last month, to put on a second mask they handed me. Mine is 4 layers has a filter, I can barely breath thru. Theirs is the over the counter paper thin blue ones. They didn't request my daughter to wear a second mask, she had on the blue paper one. So, why me?
I will asked them next Fri. Daughter didn't want me causing a ruckus last time. Me...cause trouble Na! Just ask the Captain!

I don't really understand the reluctance about vaccines. So many diseases have been minimized because of the effort and at least one, smallpox, has been eradicated.
Once science became re-politicized in the mid 90's people started to have doubts.

Pete, some people's reluctance may have to do with their culture. A friend works in a long term care facility half the work force there are from Hati and stated they think it is voodoo.

Good to see you're hanging in there Rook, hope spring gets here soon for you. I may have to wait a while, we found the deep freezer over here, 7 F over night and a high of 18 today. Have to wait till Monday to get above freezing, then we will get what the weather forecasters are calling significant snow Mon-wed.

Quite the car back in the 1970's I used to hang out with a guy who drove a shelby 500 you could hear it guzzling the gas when he turned on the ignition...

Well one Friday evening we were having a few drinks and we were bored so he suggested we head off to Quebec City for an over nighter.

About 160 miles east of Montreal in a snow storm and off we go well this smart aleck challenges him to a race along the highway.

He kind of revved up the engine and the other guy sped off like a bat out of hell.....


Funny thing is there was a cop car up ahead and he ended up racing the cops instead of us since my buddy was to smart for him.

Probably ended up with a big fat fine and probably lost points for trying to outrun the cops.

The joys of our misspent youth.

Going to cook up some pork liver with onions tonight and I'll do some garlic mashed potatoes. We do have some sauteed sweet peppers from the other night we'll have on the side.
