Max is on the raw food, supplemented with raw veggies.
Beef, pork, turkey, duck, fish, and some chicken (not much).
No treated woods
No Kibble
Read though even pure beef can still retain the corn in the meat as it takes it on.
They finish beef on corn to marble the meat up.
So if one is allergic to corn-then it would be a factor.
What ever happened to the dog-got left over everything supplemented with a kibble lived a trouble free life.
Too many high breeds I'm thinking has weakened the genes down over time.
Some dogs do fine on the cheap crap food.
Of course none at my house do hah ha ha.
Bitsof chicken in my rice at dinner.
One grand champion visited the N.E. of the country years sago as a stud for a while (heck he headed your way...)
Raw food diet there and heavy on chicken.
Danged dog knew I had chicken tonight..
I broke character and gave him some.
We've too many (or used to) to feed raw food.
Clean up the big deal.
And , I don't own or want to find room for a big freezer.
But raw food diets vary.
We're runnin small dogs here. But 10% bone is seen repeatedly in diets alleged best ratios.
So what kind of bone? And in what form?
I know breeders who toss whole chunks of chicken.
But a back isn't a thigh. AND they're not feeding with feathers on. Which like fur affect how bone passes through digestive systems.
Pork is naughty bone. So too chicken. But?
Deer here as of a few years ago are C.W.D. infected. Per x amount.. (Getting kills tested anymore is getting annoying. It used to be convenient and free. )
That ended me feeding dogs scrap. And letting them worry big bones and joints out back in the yard.
But the raw meat enzymes are good for teeth! For our dogs that still have teeth anyways..
