Nice finds Gio.

Nice finds. Very cool button.

That's a heckuva button Gio!

That may date early enough to be 1812 era, early 1800s anyway

Thanks, Ironhorse.

I've been told the dates for Clancy Dublin were 1817-1847.

That button is in absolutley fantistic shape for a dug pewter button! What were the soil conditions?

Banner button!

Great looking button.

Rock hard soil, at the moment. Sensitivity was running at 75 % with little chatter. I don't think the ground is too mineralised. Now the nails... that's a different story.

A button can sometimes be older than the service record, but generally it's probably a pretty good indication. Always a bonus when there's some local history included.

One day you'll find a great early one. They are there!

Thanks, IP. I'll keep digging those button signals . One of these days... lol

Stunning button.

Congrats,

Buck

I'd take it, congrats!

Excellent specimen! The pewter held up nicely.

Great button there...the earlier ones are in your area and will pop up sooner or later...
