This place I call Home

Tom,
I don't know why I would ever be considdered an icon.
I'm far too ornery for that.
LOL

That row of trees you see along the edge of the pasture is a wood that goes about 50 to 75 yards and then you have the Colorado River.

In the second photo are the girls (some of them)
There are 18 or so mares in this upper pasture.

I apologise for not getting back to this thread sooner.
Today was my Grandson's Birthday.
He turned four and I got to spend some time at his small celebration.

Just sign me as a contented Opa

Well dang you keep this up over have of T-Net is goin be knockin at your door ;D

The sky even with snow rolloing in is beautiful, the girls are magnificant!! I honestly look forward to your photos so as long as you have time to share we have time to dream!

Thom. Now those two pictures of the meadows with the horses in, looks more like our countryside. I wish I could post some pictures of some of our beauty spots, but I dont have a digi camera. My grandson gave me one of those new mobile phones that you can take photos with, but darn if I know how to transfer them to my computer. ;D I better get him to show me how !!!!! You transfer pictures from a mobile phone can't you? ::)

Timberwolf...Is that wolf really your pet. If it is, what sort of a pet do they make. Looking at the natural history channels on T.V. wolves can be dangerous animals, and would have thought not good domestic animals. He or she is a lovely animal tho.

Shirley,

Yes you sure can. If you want to avoid all of the data transfer charges created by emailing the pictures from the phone to your computer...
Get a USB attachment or cable, designed to use with your phone and download directly to your PC.

That's how I do it

Unicorn,

Yes, Majic was my pet. He was my second wolf. They are legal to own in the U.S., if they are hybrids, and you have their papers (which they were, and I did).

Both wolves came from the same parents. They were 98.5% gray timberwolves.
I have seen programs that state that they are dangerous, but from my experiences with these two, I have to disagree. I raised my first wolf from a puppy. She was only 3 weeks old when I got her. She was raised with two beagles and a rottweiler. She was very sweet, and loved everyone.

I got Majic, the one that you see as my avatar, when he was 4 months old. He had been abused by his previous owner. Unlike my first wolf who loved everyone, Majic was afraid of all men. Women could approach and pet him, but no one else.

Wolves bond to their owners, and in my opinion make good pets.
I don't think they are for everyone though. If you have any reservations, you shouldn't have one :)

Neither one of my wolves ever tried to hurt anyone.

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world, that says something for your pictures.
And the trail markers took a lot of work. My people were lazy they didn't move rocks, they went by the birds, if a bird was in a tree they always went that way, they stayed lost and never understood why, I have tried that and always ended up where I started. I went by this crow, thats why they called me Rain Crow. Gnewt

Thom.....When I get this posting photos from my phone sorted out, I will post a couple of photos of pieces of furniture that I have. Both are antiques, one is a Welsh Dresser, the other is of a Walnut wood coffee table. I am not too sure if you are familiar with Welsh Dressers, but when they have been waxed polished they do look good, they are usually made of Mahogney wood, altho reproductions are made of others sorts of wood. I really would appreciate it if you would send me that particular view I liked, of the reflections of the trees in water. Many thanks.

Shirley,

Look to the left of this post and go just below my avatar photo.click on the email button and send me a line.
I will send back a full size picture. one that isn't sized for this thread.
If you intend to print it you will like the resolution much better, as the pixel size is so much smaller.
