Just Random shots No particular order.
Most were taken from the ridge Just behind and a little above Leadville.
This one is taken from the window of a train.
that complex in the distance is one of the biggest silver mines in the US.

This one is looking across Half moon Gulch.
Jesse James used to hide out here.
You can see the back side of Leadville in the middle of the picture.

The metropolis of Greater Leadville
That's a joke. This is the North end of town.
Most of the town is hidden on a hillside that is out of the field of view.

Gorgeous and such incredible skies! Thanks Thom!!

Hi Cyndi,

The sky and the crisp air are super here.
Have you ever been somewhere the air seems crisp even on a warm day?
Ths is one of those kinds of places.

A cool fact about Leadville.
It is the Home of the Smithsonian Inst. National Mining Museum.
Great place to take kids interested in learning mineralogy .
Specimens from all around the US and the world are on display here.

Thom,

You may be hanging up your camera for a while....but don't go fading away!
We enjoy your posts too much

Thanks for all the pics....they were great :)

Tom

Put away the camera?

I don't think so.
I notice things in photos that I miss when on site.
I'll never stop shooting the places I hunt.
The pictures are where the real secrets lie.

Thom
