What's new

This post is NOT political/NOT religion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont make it that.

Great post. I'll say this, I believe we all should be standing for the constitution and I'll continue to do so. Change is happening. No matter if it's good or bad. Hope that's not to political!

The WHOLE Constitution... reflects ALL the changes.

I see many things getting better, its just not the same world it was in the 1950's. And again, so what.

"So what".... That's exactly what Worldtalker was stating in his original post. There's to many people with their head in the sand or following the herds right off the cliffs. The "So what" folks... are what he's trying to address.

I know one guy who really loves change I see him every day holding that little sign on the street corner.

My biggest problem with change was when they took leaded gas off the market and the price of NITRO went threw the ceiling.

American by birth, Patriot by choice.

I would rather die standing on my two feet defending our Constitution than live a lifetime on my knees......

too bad we can't discuss politics and share what is really happening that very few networks will cover. More and more each newspaper and news source have taken political sides and twist the truth to meet their own agendas. They fail to report things that make their "side" look bad. That in turn molds the "thinking" (or non-thinking) of their viewers or readers. Look around, just look around but use your own eyes. That is a major cause of where we are today. Freedom of the press was once thought of as something precious to the citizens but we have been let down by the very sources for truth that we once trusted and admired.

Uh huh, the only explanation for someone being comfortable with change is they simply MUST have their head in the sand! Total swing-and-a-miss!

Aqua represents a lot of Canadians today in believing life is good.
Heck, the Bank of Montreal just lowered interest rates and already you see young people lined up to buy an over-priced home they could never afford.
They just roam the street..... telecommunication device in one hand and a Tim Horton's coffee in the other, updating their status on Facebook; carefree, skipping joyously.
The stats increase every year and the average Canadian is MORE in debt than before but life is good and we're really stable economically.
Canadians are beautiful people....innocent and pure like our "untouched" wilderness.
They love their plastic debit/credit cards, smart phones, and low interest rates.
One day, all of this will change and it will be like America 2007 all over again but probably worse.
I hope y'all know how to live off the land like our ancestors once did.
If not, I'm sure there's a You-tube video showing how. I'll just Tweet it you when I see a good one.
Sorry, just being my usual negative self. I do wish everyone a good weekend.
Cheers,
Dave.
BTW, I think that blue crayfish is an Atlantic lobster but what do I know....I'm just a Prairie boy.
:laughing7:

Have you ever watched the tv game show "One Vs 100"? It's very enlightening. They ask some very simple questions during the show that you would think nobody could get wrong and yet almost every question asked has a group of those 100 that didn't know what the answer was. THESE SAME PEOPLE VOTE!! That's the scary part!

who cares, i'm a glass half full kinda guy, tomorrow is another day, it only bothers you if you let it. what's wrong with this world is there are too many cry babies and complainers who feel they have to remind us of negative things. life goes on. i'll enjoy the outcome because it is what i make it.

<-Yep.

I'm like Bandit and many others also.... When my parents raised me in the fifties / sixties folks income went to family resources after Federal / State taxes (if any). Now all taxes outpace the cost of living from that time. Some folks now blame employers for not supplying high enough wages to meet the cost of living today.... hell just get rid and/or lower business taxes so it can be passed onto employees and or expanding the business which increases the tax base. Taxes allotted to others (welfare) with no end in sight is NOT a change I support. Like my daughter-in-law who made only $18,000 last year w/3 children. She got $6,800 back from the Federal Govt. And she no desire to change, move and/or go to school. And the cycle continues. I say CUT IT OFF....!!!!!!!!!

Guess I'll go negative. When I was a kid, 1940's, early 50's we would go camping and ask the forest ranger where to look for arrow heads, or where to find thunder eggs, or fossils, I panned for gold in Yosemite National Park and the ranger checked to see how well I was doing. All of that has changed, in fact it's mostly against the law now, and I don't consider that for the better. All the green stuff being fostered off onto the gullible is causing prices of everything to go up and up. That's not better. The greenies don't want any logging, no mining, no coal fired electricity, no nuke electricity, no carbon emissions, windmills and solar is good, but way expensive and doesn't work well, and all that causes lost jobs and more costs and higher rates. My electric bill has gone up 5 times in the past 20 years, and I use less power than I did 20 years ago, the house isn't any larger, and I now heat with gas and not electricity, but power is still up over 5 times, that's a change I could do without. Political correctness has cause me to have restricted freedom of speech, can't hurt someone's feelings now can we. And finally, the change that has come about in the past 6 years has screwed my eyes out. Last January 1st my health insurance has gone up tremendously, more per month, and big co-pays on every visit. I'm on a fixed income, and this has cause me to curtail and cut back in other areas, and I'm not happy about that. The youngsters now days have no idea what it was like to be free.

Yeah, that's about as big as they grow in fresh water.

So, the blue lobster is kinda like that blue dog thingy in New Orleans then

BosnMate, that touched a nerve with me right there! Around my neck of the woods now, you look for arrowheads secretly - as if institutions didn't have enough for crying out loud! I remember the first fossil I found - what joy! Now, no one is allowed to keep a simple fossil that is of no significance whatsoever, none. So here are our kids, eyes all shining, they're shaking with joy over a tiny piece of rock that has a plant imprint on it, and they can't keep it. What utter crock. No trespassing signs all over the place - kids have even been told that they can't even turn over logs and rocks and see nature scurrying around underneath. Eco-fanatics have mandated that we must not disturb nature. People say our young don't want to do that stuff. Well I say, how the blazes would adults know that for certain because we're too busy finding ways to deny them the chance. I have seen our children restricted from things we explored freely and from that exploration we gained skills that helped us find our way in this world and find the wonders within it. Give every young person a metal detector or a magnifying glass or a telescope or binoculars and let them fly I say.

Hogwash, millionaires will always be millionaires. Successful people persevere, and overcome.

Don't find it negative, rather quite refreshing to know I'm not the only one who thinks that way.

I think the word "Conservation" indicates CHANGE; for MD'ing/TH'ing... it started with Teddy Roosevelt.
