Hi all,

We had a great weekend weatherwise here in Missouri so I went out both days to some schools I haven't been to for 3-4 months..I brought home a bracelet, 4 junk rings, 2 old keys, a couple of tokens, a button, a couple of zipper pulls, and a 925 silver earring that looks like gold. Today's $4.75 in clad is pictured, but between yesterday and today my clad total was a little over $9.00, including my first James Monroe dollar coin found in the wood chips.

One of the junk rings looked just like a class ring when I uncovered it and I was thrilled for about 3 seconds, until I saw these spike-looking things in the front..then I wondered what on earth kind of school would have a skull and crossbones as their logo ??? ;D Kind of glad someone lost it, the only thing it's probably good for is to put a dent in someone's skull :icon_scratch:

Thanks DD..I have no idea what the population of the school is..actually I usually find lots more clad at the schools I check for the first time. Try searching the playgrounds, then the area around them, then the fields..eventually you'll find a school that's just loaded with stuff.

Thanks Doug, that one and the silver heart ring in the photo (didn't take a close-up) make #30 and #31. The other 2 are tin and I never include those in my totals.

By the way, I'd love to see the Hot Wheels page(s) in that 1970 Sears catalog (if there were any sold there!)

The coin is discolored from being in the wood mulch..they lose their gold-colored luster from being buried, similar to the way Sac dollars tarnish from being in the ground a while.

Nice bunch of finds Nate.
