After work hit a soccer field for a couple hours. It actually could have been a good time but the holes dug by the person before me were just terrible. The ground was so dry and this time looking for shallow clad its easier to use a probe or screwdriver. Whoever dug these didn't know how to pinpoint for one and when it wasn't a coil the trash was just dropped on the ground, so alot of my fun was gone. I ended the hunt with 46 coins and a total of $3.35. So I come home and had to weed the garden, mow the lawn and trim and I still had time to hit the park 5 minutes from my house. First signal and it was a very crappy signal was the 1920 Merc all of three inches deep, then hit two wheats, then suddenly the 1923 Merc. The 23 Merc was such a clear loud signal. I hunted a little longer hitting three more wheats and the bugs and heat had finally gotten to me. On the way back to the car I get this loud dime signal and almost didn't dig it and maybe, just maybe an inch deep was my first Seated Dime of the year(1876-CC). I was shocked for two reasons, first was the fact I had hunted this area many times over the last two years and these shallow coins surprised me, second was how clear two of the silver coins were. I've not hunted the old stuff much but might just have to spend a little more time there. The first hunt I had used the Ace 250 and the second hunt I used the Minelab Explorer 2.

great silver Jack, wtg. It is too bad but this seems to be a growing problem with the big holes and trash left. We were at a schoolyard last week and there were holes 16+inches wide. You could see clearly where they were dug with a shovel and trash left in middle. Thanks for picking up the trash. We all need to protect this hobby that we love
