Tombac button

I found this worn tombac about size of quarter flat in the back no marking's there. The front has faint bust and has the letters G O P on top edge they spaced out a little. Any button experts out there can give me some info on it. thanks

1st question.... Are you 100% sure you see what you see?

2nd question... Can you post better pics? Sounds interesting.

A tombac button would be pretty early to be used as a Republican political type, but I guess you never know until you know.

I actually see the GOP now... are the letters formed well, or could it just be a freak thing from the different colors? A tombac would usually be engraved, but your detail looks raised which makes me question it.

The pic appears a bit out of focus. You cant read the letters on your computer screen either. Does your camera have a Macro lens (flower icon) setting?
It seems Ive asked this a few hundred times here at TN.
