Torch lapel pin

[gary s fl]

Found this torch lapel pin at an early 1900s home site. Olympic souvenir pin? There's a similar one on ebay but the seller doesn't know anything about it. This one has two thin pin shanks whereas the one on ebay has a thicker center shank. Any ideas? http://cgi.ebay.com/Torch-Lapel-Pin...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item4cee1f3d3f

I'll throw my hat into the ring and say it is either military and/or service hat pin circa 1940's. Nice find, Breezie

Thanks .

I'm sure about it being ROTC, not so sure the age though. I think it's post WWI. I'm not sure when they switched over from the single post screw on type to the 2 pin clutch back style.

Nice find!

Willie, you nailed it. Both you and GSH got your posts in while I’m typing. Here's another one with the single screw post. http://cgi.ebay.com/WW1---WW2-US-AR...temQQimsxZ20100130?IMSfp=TL100130131003r27868
Good job
