I know enough about foreign coins to feel comfortable buying them, and what ever I don't know I always look up before buying. I looked up the silver content the coins before I bought these just to make sure I wasn't getting ripped off. Some of them are only 40% silver, but I'd rather have foreign 40% than American 40%, just because I like having some diversity in my silver. I'm not too worried about them being difficult to sell because the area I live in has tons of coin collectors/coin stores so if I ever decided to sell them I don't think I would have much of a problem doing so. The whole inflation thing doesnt bother me much either considering the old saying "silver is silver." Yeah American silver is more recognizable, but if I ever end up selling the silver, it wont take much to look up the coins and show the person that these are in fact silver coins. Plus, the vast majority of my silver is American "junk" silver, so trading a little bit here and there for some foreign silver won't hurt me much when it comes to inflation.
I just like being able to trade in what I have for something a little different. I plan on making a coin folder and trying to get one silver coin for every country that I can, so hopefully I find a lot more 40%ers in the future to trade in for some more foreign!
