Treasure Clue, can you help?

Okay I have to strongly disagree with you on your interpretation of the puzzle on page 63.

It says, "REVEALS THE NAME WHERE THE TREASURES ABIDE"

How do I know?

1st clue: Look at the letter "N" inside the block and in the bottom right corner look at that "Z". The letter "N" has smooth edges top and bottom and the "Z" has points.

2nd clue: Each new word starts with a letter that is touching the block of the last letter of the previous word. The "S" on REVEALS touches the block with the "T" in THE and the "E" in THE touches the block with "N" in NAME, etc. etc. etc.

So on the basis of patterns and consistency I disagree with that block having a "Z" and the word NAME being the word MAZE.

However, since I have not discovered any clues hinting at any towns or states or zipcodes yet, am I really in a position to tell others that I am right and they are wrong?

HandGems,
I believe you are right which is exactly what these boards are for! I did see it both ways on earlier posts on other boards and I went with the "maze" interpretation very early on. However, it is good to re-visit some of those earlier notes and to make changes! Thanks!

Many people keep asking me how I came up with "Save Our Trees Art". At the begining of the book, there is a fairy pointing at some pink numbers (post #7 in this topic). Post #8 from Jeff of PA gave me the idea to use the numbers according to the title. 5 being the 5th letter in the title, 13 being the 13th letter in the title. Big thanx to Jeff for the early help!

Dear SearchingTudor,

First of all I already explained this to everyone in an earlier post and with much better detail than you. If I sound hostile it is because you are the guy that CLAIMED TO SOLVE THE ENTIRE TREASUREHUNT a month or so ago. I did NOT appreciate that. You made me depressed until I realized you were a FRAUD and then I regained my excitement and continued hunting.

WHY DID YOU DO THAT!!!!!!!!!

>:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

actually i have to correct you in what you are saying searching is not the one who said he found everything if you go back to his post and read it you will see he was posting an email which he received so the rest of the members of the forum could see it

I thought this forum was for people to post ideas and or questions regarding the book, not through temper tantrums and be accusatory.

a tantrum is healthy now and then, but yes, searching was just posting and email, saying "jet" which is a liar and an idiot found all the clues...

Handgems, the only reason why I posted again is for those new people to this forum who keep asking me in private messages how I solved that little riddle with the numbers. I just figured if I posted in the forums they wouldn't have to keep sending me private messages over this riddle, save them and myself some time. Sorry if I upset you ... that wasn't my intention. I actually have only looked at the book a hand-ful of times since the New Year. I'm glad to see people coming through with new insights and clues. And since I haven't posted a clue that none of you haven't already figured out, here is one that I've been holding onto since I had the book:

On the inside Front cover, look in the top-left at the dragonfly. I you look on his body near the left wing, you will see
what looks like yellow bricks? It doesn't show up on any other pictures of the dragonfly, which are all the same EXCEPT
for that inside Front cover. I've been "thinking" that they could be yellow stones, or Yellow Stone National Park? Nothing
concrete, but I figured I owed everyone a little bit since I caused the stir with posting Jet's e-mail here.

I apologize to everyone. My tone comes across a bit harsh. But in reality I am 99% comical. I am one of those people who are usually NOT serious so much that it annoys other people. I love to joke and laugh. Sometimes my jokes even may sound offending.

I apologize to SearchingTudor for thinking he was the one who said all that.

I would like to contribute my thoughts so far. Of course I will contribute more later when more pops into my head. But so far everyone is concerned with the pictures and what they say. And who knows? Maybe they are the key to this whole thing. But the author hints that everything is written in the story. I read it twice so far and haven't found anything concrete other than the mention of numbers throughout the story like ONE or TWO or EIGHT or TWELVE (yes not tweleve but twelve.) Sometimes I think the word ONE is used as a pronoun but sometimes it is used in the context of a number. I wonder if that doesn't mean anything.

Also, my first time reading the story I noticed in Chapter One (I believe it was) the mention of a TIGERWOOD stick and right away thought golf. Then as I read there were more and more mention of golf like words (like Pook have a 2 or 3 bounce landing like a golf ball I thought.) Then in the next chapter I saw reference to THE ROCK and started thinking WRESTLING.

:)

Those are some....interesting ideas handgems. Maybe you're on to something. Has anyone thought anything about the four pedals (call them what you like) floating away from the dandelion. It seems there are always four except on a page or 2. And also on page 83 there are four pedals but no dandelion. I'm pretty much completely confused by them though.

Hey some one look at page80 at the pots and the broken peices. I think I see something but Im not sure. Also how many ants do you see throughout the book-the cut outs. Im still counting.

Dear ILOVEPINK1981,

Are you being sneaky with us?

We are being open and honest about what we find and sharing with you. Yet you are being VAGUE with us. You said look at page 80 with the broken pots because you think you found SOMETHING yet you do not state what it is.

Well I found 2 ARROWS pointing at things on page 80 when I looked. Is this what you are referring to?

firstly i want apoligizes to the board for my deleted post and directly to searching tutor. You are correct i didn't read all of the posts. once i detected jet posting on this board i wanted to let you all know what the story is.

Secondly my contribution to the forum. I keep reading the posts acan't help thinking that we are all overworking these problems. the poem was not difficult to decipher. maybe the rest of the problem is not as difficult as we are making it. on page 11 stadler says" the simple clues don't need any special knowledge to find or decipher" which would rule out all the codes and and 5x5 ciphers that have been discussed.

moving on to the 5x5 box. in the dream zac finds the box and sees the forest in a new way. he fills the boxes with what he finds. now look at the box on page 86. it's color coded with several boxes blacked out. this is the same color scheme we find in the box on page17. maybe what needs to be in the boxes are color coded.

Just a thought

No Im not being sneaky I just wasnt sure what it was I was lookig at. Im ASSUMING that some of the peices are in the shapes of states. My mind- no offense- doesnt work like you experienced puzzlers so I wasnt sure if that was it. I also think that the number of ants and grasshoppers may be significant but its kinda like "find waldo" to me so im not sure if I'm missing some. I read on the other site something about a 5x5 box thing and they had a link to a website that did some type of calculation- Im not interested in doing it but can someone explain this to me. I took Calc 2 but this seems to crazy for me to try and figure out or maybe Im just thinking to in depth about this. It is suppose to be a childrens book.

Does anyone else see state shapes in this- one in mind is the pot to the right it looks like a cut out of texas and another one looks like louisiana. ALSO did anyone decipher the morse code that was mentioned

Does anyone else see the shape of Florida on the bottom of page 31? Pook has his feet on it and you need to turn the book sideways to see it better. Also, looks like a reversed USA map to the left of Florida. And so many mushrooms all over Florida! Any thoughts?

Has anyone asked a child about what they think about this. No offense but this is a childrens book. There may be something in there that they are familar with or have seen while watching one of those shows they like watching and they willprobably not over analyze the clues or story

Hi,
I started out looking at treasurenet and I really like the site. But you really ought to consider going to Tweleve.com as it is also very good and present many in-depth and different perspectives than have been posted here.

The clue "the one that is missing you did not see" some belive that this is referring to the fact that the letter q appears no where in the entire "A Treasure's Trove" novel.

Here is something wlse that I thought of. Some people are thinking that the pink code of numbers at the front of the book also pertains to the code of numbers five to a side. We already know that these numbers spell save our trees art, but perhaps they can be used to decode other things in the book. I noticed that on about the 3rd page thre appears a dedication "to helen". This is also in pink just like the number mentioned before and is the only other writing in pink that I can see in the entire book. What does this mean? I am not sure, but when you figure it out, lease let me know.
Kathy.

I've tried the other site and its extremely complicated to understand to someone whos not a puzzle solver. I like this site better everyones open and is nice at most times. Dont get me wrong tweleve is too but its also alot of extra talk to avoid sharing what you found. And HELEN is 5 letter so maybe it has to do with the boxes everyone is referring to

I also saw arrows on page 80. one on a pot and one on the ground. This could possible mean that there are coins in the grotto cave. Or in a cave in real life. Or a cavern possibly??? Just thinking out loud!
