Treasure Clue, can you help?

How are you seeing the map of the us on any of these pages? I cant see it

In my previous post, I mentioned that if you turn the book sideways and you have page 46 nearest you, in my opinion, I see the United States. :)

Dear QED,

No offense but are you trying to throw everyone off on purpose?

You claim that the title of the book "A TREASURES TROVE" does NOT decipher to "SAVE OUR TREES ART" using the encryption found on page-2.

You made an unfounded and unverified claim that using the authors name tells you a location or direction. Well I have played with that encryption on page-2 this morning using the author's name in various formats and I am getting GIBBERISH.

Explain yourself or admit your a fake!

This is my first post to this site. I have read through most of the other posts but not all of them so if this has already been discussed then I apologize. At the end of one of the chapters (Sorry, I don't have the book in front of me so I don't know the chapter or page number) Spider says something to the effect that he'd like to eat the human with some dandelion greens and a nice honey suckle wine. To me, that's a direct reference to the movie Silence of the Lambs when Hanibel Lechter says he ate a persons liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti. Maybe the author was just throwing some humor in or maybe it's a clue. Of course, I would think that if he intended it to be a clue it would go against the preface of not having any special knowledge.

Also, in the illustration of the two fairies with the broken tea cup and tin of flour, on the side of the tin is a picture of some mountains with rays of sun coming up behind them and a hummingbird. That picture looks a lot like the state seal of Ohio. (minus the hummingbird of course)

Just thought I'd throw those out there and see if they'd stick. I really believe the key to all this is in the text and that the hidden messages are just a way to throw us off. Of course, I just like to think that because trying to solve all those ciphers is making my brain hurt!

Thanks to everyone for posting their clues so far.

Thanks Stemware

You may be on to something there, about the State Seal. ?When I looked at that picture I kept saying that I had seen it somewhere, and it does look like it. ?My daughter had to do a report on State Seals last year and we were having to look them up.

;) Everone keeps giving their 2 cents worth we just might get these solved yet.

Forgive my bad manners but I would like to thank everyone who has posted clues in here. ?Some I seen, some I didn't.

This might help, might not:? http://www.netstate.com/state_seals.htm

Hey, aarnow!!!! ABout page ten, i got "hidden" and then in the top right theres something like "wellno" or "welkino" ??? and at the bottom it says "eye can see"

Concerning the "Days Drive" I found this post from the man himself on www.atreasurestrove.com :

"mstadther

I don't define how long a days drive is.

The intent of the statement was to say that the tokens are as evenly
spread out in the continental United States as I could make them.

Perhaps, if you look at a map of the United States you can figure out
how long it would take to get to twelve spread out locations."

Hi, new here. Hopefully the way to post is to reply to the last message? Apparently 30,522 people can figure out how to post a message on this URL, but I can't! How sad is that?
Anyway, Michael Stadther will be in tucson for a book signing for the next few days at the Gem & Mineral Show. I'll be happy to ask him any general questions you may have... I'm also a published author so should have something in common w/ him other than just this contest. I'll ask whatever and however many questions seem appropriate, without bugging the guy. And I'll post his answers on this site. So, fire away!

Okay well I've read just about every post on here and a lot of you have helped me finish the border clues, I had a lot of them and I'm glad we're all at least getting the same thing. I'm just gonna throw my two cents out there and tell you guys what I think is going on with this treasure.....In the Foreword MS states many possible clues and hints, but the biggest things that appealed to me was when he said "Anyone who can read can discover the exact location of the treasure--just the way one of the characters does in the story" Now I have two theories about this statement. First--I think the location of all of the tokens has a more to do with the actual story not so much the pictures. I mean with the line " Within the TEXT you have the key" so I'm pretty positive that the story has the exact locations of every token. Second-- the second part of the Foreword statement "just the way one of the characters does in the story" refers obviously to the chapter entitled The Dream. I believe within this text lies the "key" the one thing I haven't seen anybody post is the poem/song the TREES sing to Zac "Moon Like, Moon Like. Dreamer one on ending, I cause you puzzling." Now I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what they mean by that, the first part "Moon Like, Moon Like" I think has to do with the cresent moon on the front cover of the book or something that is well...moon like somewhere in the book. Anyways I'm just throwing something else out there for ya'll to think about hope it helps someone.
Tenatively posting
R.

P.S. If you happen to find the treasure I'm not looking for a cut of the reward or anything but drop me a line and (if my thoughts helped you) let me know how you figured it out I'll do the same if I find help from anyone else. Later Dayz and Happy Hunting

1) "Clues" -- (Hint: Tackle Repositorys)
At what frequency will clues be disclosed to the public?
(Every month - week - etc; when will the next clue be posted on the website)

Thank you

a little something i noticed...

Zac's dream (p.84) isn't its own chapter. It looks like it should be because it has its own title, but it is actually part of chapter 17 The Hostage.

any ideas about why this is?

hey chillijill,

could you ask him if he is religious and what religion he is?
I'm just wondering because of the word "sanctuary"
thank you :)

I also think what "Jet" aka the "Paracleter" has to say is interesting but it is very fishy at the same time. For those of you who cannot find his report I provide this link:

As for thouse of you how are still looking for the hidden creatures in the book, here is a summary from the above mention report:

Maverick,

The fact that they changed the wordings to "not redeemed" is an interesting observation. My guess, however, is that nothing has changed. I would be very surprised if they checked the tokens on a regular basis. That might reveal the locations. If I had initiated this search I would not even go close to the sites until the hunt is over. And I would assume that Mike has only few team members that know the locations. The fewer the better. I might even think he is the only one who knows where they are. And to think that they have electronic means of monitoring the tokens, not likely either in my opinion. Three years is a long time and most likely the devices would need their batteries replaced. No, Mike does not know if the tokes are there still. He has no way of finding out either. He has to sit and wait for the tokens to be claimed. Hopefully by a person from this forum! That would be cool!

Milou- About the hidden ant on page 77, I can't find it at all. Could you maybe describe it so I can see? And there are spiders on 20 and 21 too. Thanks

Look for the ant on the bottom right hand corner of page 77,
crawling on the dandelion by the border of the page.

Yes, I forgot to mention the two spiders. Thanks!

/Milou

chillijilli-

If you can, ask Stadther how he hid the tokens. For example, did he actually travel the entire country himself to find hiding spots?
