Re: Treasure Hunter's Cookout

Aquanut I was just wondering the same thing.I thought there was going to be something going on that I missed but I should say that I've been checking everyday to see if there is something new.So it does look as if a hundred folks have been looking with no takers.Anyway we are waiting for tomorrow as well as looking forward to it . I know you have said not to bring anything special but if there is anything you might have thought of please post it here so we can help.So far all I've got is chairs I would like to be able to help if at all possible in any way.Once again thank you in advance look forward to seeing you tomorrow as well as meeting lot's of new folks with the same desire as I have.Thank you Capt Rodney

Re: Treasure Hunter's Cookout

Also John, since I didn't make it last year....What is the parking situation? I didn't see it in the thread, but do we just park on the side of the street, or do you have some neighbors that might go ballistic if we are too close to the sidewalk or something! ;D

My mother and sister do estate sales in Sun City, and someone calls the cops almost every week on their customers for parking too close to the sidewalk, or one millimeter too close to their driveway! No joke!

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Re: Treasure Hunter's Cookout

Jon, Aquanut has a big lot and his neighbors are cool. They will probably join us. Rodney, look for me tomorrow. Last year was like a get together but this year we need to unite to end the state salvage stalemate. The sate has not issued a recovery permit since 1987. What can we do as a group to end this?

Re: Treasure Hunter's Cookout

Jon,
I guess my reply didn't post yesterday.
Anyway, you can park along the road and in my next door neighbors yard where there's a sign. It's the place that looks like it's under construction.
Rodney, I may set out a jar for voluntary donations. This one has more than doubled the cost of last years.
Treasure_Hunter, Whitefeather may bring his parrot Addy, so why not. But be for-warned, we have three cats living here.
If you're coming early, Bring ICE!

TODAY"S the DAY!!!

Re: Treasure Hunter's Cookout

Great get together for the Florida professional treasure hunters. Aquanut put on a first class cookout with hired professional cooks to serve a great meal. We got a lot done today.

Re: Treasure Hunter's Cookout

I really enjoyed the party plus met a few new pirates.John really knows how to throw a party!Plus the cooks did a great job too.Im glad everyone enjoyed the apalachicola oysters i brought. They were the best oysters i have eaten raw and steamed in awhile.I got to take home a empty cooler!

Great pics Tom and Pete.

Oh and good news too when i got home.Animal control called and the stray cat i gave them passed the rabies quarantine. No rabies shot for me!

Re: Treasure Hunter's Cookout

John, Great Party. Thanks for inviting me. I really had a great time meeting all those great guys that post on here and finally putting faces to the names that I read on here. I sincerely hope that this becomes an Annual Event. For those of you that couldn't make it, all I can say is that it was fantastic. Deb, John and Krissy put out a great spread and I know a lot of time and effort went into preparing for the party.
In closing, I want to say that all of you guys that I met are tops in my book and I can't wait for at least one of you to hit the Mother Lode soon. To those that didn't make it ? I hope to meet all of you at next years party.
