Video after video are now posting about families and such coming up with "getting around" the stay at home rule with creative ways.

Like playing soccer where they don't come close etc.

Everyone assumes that this 6 foot rule is empirical fact.

BUT... in fact... according to the head of the FDA who has stated multiple times that in fact they have no idea how far the virus can travel in the air.

His exact words are... "we don't know".

Yet people are out doing things keeping back from people... thinking this is enough... when in fact they do not know.

I have a celery stub and 2 carrot tops attempting to sprout...

I feel like such a success!

I may even get my strawberry, blueberry, & tomato seeds germinating today.

I got all ambitious several years ago and built a trellis out of hardwood branches to grow pole beans.
Year one , we ate beans.
Year two a rabbit mowed them down for two or three plantings.
A scrawny specimen of a rabbit I wouldn't eat unless desperate, I just let it be.
When I committed to no more plantings due to season timing , an owl nabbed the rabbit.

I have a roll of used fencing should anything rabbits eat gets planted this year...

WENT TO THE STORE THIS MORNING

THERE WAS A GUY IN FRONT OF ME AT THE CHECK OUT. He would pick up items look at them and set them back down. he must have picked up 20 or so items waiting to check out. For GOSH sake's people DO NOT PICK up something unless you intend to purchase. I can see now the importance of rubber gloves. When going out might be a good idea to wear them when going to a store.

Speaking of gardening...
For those in areas that don't have good soil or maybe have concrete and asphalt all around them...there are some neat you tube videos out there showing how to grow a garden from enriched straw bales.

You basically follow a regiment of wetting and fertilizing the bale. It starts to decompose and heats up killing all of the grass seeds in the bale.

Sprinkle some carrot seeds on top..cover with 1/4 inch of soil conditioner...perfect carrots. I've seen just about everything grown in them..no weeding.

Just got back from grocery shopping and it is still crazy at some stores!

Put my rubber gloves on before I left the house and took them off before I re-entered.
