I don't know about that one JohnnyBravo Maybe somebody will try it and let us know how that works out. I do know from the news that that aquarium cleaner prevents it, cause you take it and die before you ever get it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, watching TV in the rain...BUT I got 7 minie balls since yesterday. AND stopped at the store one last time (unless perdition freezes) and snagged 6 items. They had plenty of everything and the only things I noticed was the TP was gone, but there were paper towels, didn't check soaps. Some canned vegs were out but plenty of other ones. Plenty of milk, break, frozen foods, Coca Cola, fresh fruit and vegs.

I wore my digging gloves in the store, still used wipes for the cart. Paid w ccd, left, took off gloves and sanitized hands, door handle, steering wheel etc. Came home left Cokes in the truck, plastic, brought rest in. Washed stuff down with soapy water and put it away. Threw gloves and clothes downstairs. Had a happy nap and then about 5 hours later, nap was 2 hours or so, after watching more TV, no rain, did a wash. Only 10 instances of the virus in that county, but you know there is more. There were only 6 people in the store. Closest I got to anyone was a cashier.

I ain't skeer'd. I go into the store and get what I want and then head to the checkout line. I start chatting up anyone who will talk with me and will slip the "virus" problem into the conversation. Within a few minutes someone will start coughing or sneezing and I immediately fall onto the floor and start flopping like a Carp out of water. The line clears and I'm out of the store with my goodies in less than 15 minutes total. :) :)

Just sayin'

It's really simple to NOT get it. All ya gotta do (before you get it) is drink Tonic Water (Only Canada Dry and Seagram's are high enough in Quinine to work - SERIOUSLY) and take Zinc with Copper. The more Zinc the better. Zinc prevents, 97 to 98% of the time, a person from getting ANY virus and Copper helps with the immune system and is just plain ol good for you. Look it up.

Stay well and safe folks.

Coupons are too slick... :/

Funny section leaves too much ink... got a rainbow.

And it takes longer in there for I have to read the full article sometimes before finishing.

(Language) My wife was at the store and there was one last case of viva paper towels, there was a lady in front of her so she asked if the lady wanted them (to be polite) AND THE LADY STUCK HER (language) HAND INTO THE PLASTIC AND FELT UP EVERY GD ROLL THEN "DECIDED" SHE DIDN'T WANT THEM! social distancing and not hitting ladies be damned, I would have smacked her!

From the amount "code/script" I could see in the e-mail must have been some nasty spam!!

Trying to make bread with no yeast? Ask a home brewer, we always keep that in stock.

Well, Gov. Polis (Colorado) issued a statewide stay at home order. No big thing, we've been under it and easy to do. However, got a recorded call from corporate basically telling me since I'm considered an essential employee I still got to go to work, dammit. The disturbing part was they said that my store manager would have a letter that showed I was an essential employee and allowed to travel to work to carry with me in case I was stopped by the police. Now did I miss the declaration of martial law? I realize it's a national chain, things are different in different districts, and you need to hope for the best, but anticipate the worst. Good job Kroger on planting that seed of doubt and panic.

Have you ever heard of the seasonal flu killing 20+ patients of a single nursing home.....have you ever heard of 3 members of one family dying from the seasonal flu?

If this virus gets into your lungs and starts replicating you are probably going to need a respirator to survive.

Granted 85% of the population have little to worry about but without some caution 1 million people or more could die in the US... it is probably too late now with a 10-14 day incubation period it is everywhere by now.

The main reason of the social distancing and shut downs is to slow the spread to try and keep the hospitals under the capacity of the equipment they have to try and save people's lives who's immune system cant fight it off.

If you are over 75,taking chemo/radiation, have severe asthma or other respiratory problems this is a very bad virus.

Who makes the call when a relative healthy 35 year old who is having trouble breathing goes to the hospital and there are no respirators.Do you pull one off an elderly person who might not survive anyhow or do you let the 35 year old drown from the fluid in his lungs.Someone is going to have to make this decision soon here in the US and I highly doubt they ever had to make this decision at any time in the past because of the seasonal flu.

There have been many, many medical experts from all over the world warning that this virus is roughly 8-10x more deadly then the seasonal flu.

Here in the midwest some vital folks been getting papers too.
Not martial law , but folks out joyriding and out and about for no purposeful are not being applauded.
How police enforce that has not been established , but if it comes to asking what someone is up to ,papers would speed up the process. It's been pretty informal here.
No , no one driving has mentioned being fond of the concept of getting papers handed to them. Most seem to shrug.
(Flashbacks to The Who singing , "get out my papers and smile at the sky" maybe, or just good ol American spirit of let me be?)

No civil unrest is being promoted or advertised as happening , but some distribution networks could be vulnerable to attempted theft. (My feeble theory of having certain I.D. and papers depending where you are and whats goin on.)

SURVIVAL FOOD

So I’ve been trying to dip into the survival stores rather than enjoying the luxuries right off the bat.

For instance I found 5 rolls of single ply TP in the closet...better use up a couple...

Then my daughter and I argued over if evaporated milk could be used to make sausage gravy...sure can. Not as good as with real milk, but definitely a treat.

Then comes the internal debate... real plates vs. paper plates..
