have a similar response to whiners
imagine being born to a poor family w/o access to anything
(a poor woman in Africa; the brighter you are, the worse it will hurt)

Just heard ,virus can live 5 days on bottoms of shoes---recommend leaving shoes/sandals/sneakers etc outside-----if you can, leave them upside down in direct sun, the sun helps kill germs

is this flu/virus going to be present forevermore ?
if so, generally speaking old people will not live as long as they might have had the virus not been present
a 20 trillion gifting program will not affect the virus
anticipation is everything

Humans have been around a minute. Apparently some people are building antibodies by being infected which will probably render this to a common cold if they are exposed next year. Just a guess.

it seems the produced antibody issue is quite undefined, statements both ways
only hope for getting old, those already old are probably just marking time (and what else is old age ? - 74 w/collapsed lung)

While that picture makes me feel sad, I did not scrape that food up and eat it off the floor.
In the trash it went and off to the landfill.

I'm well aware that I'm living like royalty when it comes to food supply/selection.

Let's hope Africa is somehow spared because it will be devastating for them.

Here's something that struck me as funny in a way. I'm a supervisor in retail grocery. I'm in charge of seeing that 4 or 5 trucks get stocked to the shelf every night. I also do ordering, which a wasted effort as I'm just gonna get what they send me. Normally we would be doing about a million a week in sales right now, but that's out the window. You think they would have me at work every minute I was awake. However, I am on the list for 6 minutes O/T this week. Luckily I got one more shift where I can get that gone and avoid 'a serious discussion'. Still, I can't gripe cause I am getting 40 and lots of folks up here aren't.

Trying to make bread with no yeast? Ask a home brewer, we always keep that in stock.

And , jealously protect it from "natural" yeast's influence by using sterile equipment.

Certain yeasts tolerating higher alcohol levels go far in brewing. And as such we use.

Those natural yeasts are wild cards. But for bread making are worth the gamble if no other source is available.
A sourdough starter can be tried with exposure to yeasts floating around the home.
It can also be shared with others when successful.
One package of commercial yeast for example could create many generations of starters.
The benefit of commercial yeast being a type for a specific use. Characteristics in converting sugars in given ingredients , and vigor.

Bannock and flat breads have a purpose though should desired yeast fail...

something missing ? - effect of being overweight

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...ight-coronavirus-patients-need-critical-care/

lots of links - but not in the US

Obesity is an underlying health issue just like high blood pressure & diabetes. Ive lost 25 lbs in the last year just by changing my eating habits, no diets, no hunger and no big cravings.

Scientists have said virus is not mutating like influenza does which means a vaccine is possible soon. Have also listen to couple reports there is good possiblity of virus to return next year, good news is by then they will have a better idea how to fight it and the drugs available to fight it.

Thanks for the share TH! Good News is always welcome!!

What I heard was, there will be at least 3 cycles, 1rst now, 2nd in fall, 3rd in next spring

Dade & Broward are leading my state atm... :BangHead:
I'm not liking the odds here,
lets fly in MORE ppl, from the hot zones... :BangHead:

I also know, these tests results are not indicative, of the hurried migration here.
We'll get those numbers, within another week or 2. :dontknow:
Don't be prolonging my quarantine... (filthy little ppls, with not enough sense,
to stay put when you're told to the first time) :BangHead:

I'm going to be real raw, when I come out of this! >:(
as will others, I'm sure.

And wash your hands for Christs sake & quit touching everything!
I've noticed in the stats, men are getting this, more than women!
For real guys... for real!

ty for letting me vent...day 4 or 5 or something like that.... :BangHead:

The N.Y. Gov. Cuomo has told the entire state to up hospital bed space by 50 %.He is going to ship some of the very sick to up state hospitals where it has not spread...cuz we socially distanced .
Letting hot people out of the hottest zone in the country to fly to Fla or where ever... is just nuts
Pat please quit banging your head on that wall girl...we don`t want a great Patriot like you dizzy !
Gary

A lot of those nyc, NJ, conn. city folk have 2nd homes in the south, they just drive down

I quite doubt any expert anywhere knows how this will unfold, very much an ongoing investigation everywhere.
And the accuracy / comparability of the numbers is questionable from any perspective.
Self preservation at work.

Agreed.

My next door neighbor told me earlier, the trailer park behind us,
the office lady tested positive, as did ppl who live there,
that came in contact with her, or was in the park office.
Our properties on my side of the street, back up to this trailer park.

Talk about "hitting close to home".
Now, one has to think of all the local places, gas stations, grocery stores,
convenience stores, etc., around here, where ppl who didn't know they have it,
have gone all around depositing that nasty virus.
Hubby banned from the bar, for the whole summer,
maybe longer!

It'll give you pause to think, when you reach for that grocery store
milk case or freezer case door handle! That's for sure!

We've had so much cwap happen here in S.Fl., over the deacdes….
I've just always been grateful, I never got caught up
in the middle of any of it... oh wait....

I always figured, it'd be the young & dumb, or the
low IQ ones, take us all out one day... ughhh *long sigh
