Well it was back to the exact same pounded to death site I have hunted the last 4 or 5 outings. I have pulled 8 injuns out of there the last 2 hunts...well now make that 10 injuns. I wish the scan would have been better of the 1897 as it's probably the nicest injun I've ever dug. It's absolutey beautiful under a magnifying glass and every single line is as clear as it gets. It was in the hole WITH a screwcap at 8"...I kid you not.
Then got a sweet...but really weird high hit that gobbled like a turkey yet it seemed to have a screw cap hit mixed in with it. The cursor absolutely locked on silver so I dug. Down about 7" out popped the 1939 merc. When I ran the sunray probe in the hole again...BINGO...another silver hit. Dug down another 1" or so and out pops the sweet 1956 quarter AND another screwcap. I think this was my first multiple silver hole this year.
About 20 minutes later I got the 1910s wheatie at 8" and man was it a strong hit.
Plugged along for another few minutes then hit the goofy messed up love token that says "Gerald LNVES Doris"..well obviously Gerald had some problems spelling the word "love"...so Doris probably chucked it...where it sat for 30 or 40 years until I found it at 8" down.
As for the 14K band...I would love to be able to say how proud I am for digging 200 pulltabs and finally finding the band...but it was nothing but luck because I do not have the time...patience...or knees to dig tab/nickle hits. I got a nice but differing tone wheatie hit so I figured it was a wheatie in with trash. I got down 7" and popped out the wheatie...then again ran the probe around the hole. Off to the side of the hole I got a nickle hit which explained why the sound varied on the initial hit. Well I popped out the supposed nickle but it turned out to be the 14k band!!...so there was absolutely NO skill involved on my part...I was merely digging the wheatie hit and got ridiculously lucky with the band. Thanks for viewing and good luck hunting.

The finds are great for a two hour hunt. Must be on heck of a place. Is that a political token?

Thanks Burdie.
No...the token is one I remember as a kid from the late 60's and early 70's that was made by people at an arcade or something. I remember you could put money in the machine...then type in whatever you wanted...then the machine made the token.

Bryce, another great day for you. Awesome, bud!! You are finding coins from that old park that have eluded many others in the past. What a feeling.. ::) That '97 Injun looks in great shape. I've got a few that look just like it. Congrats on the multiple silver hole too....those are real fun to dig.

Continued success, my friend.

It's kind of funny that they paid the money to have a token made and then spelled the word loves wrong. :D

Thanks Dan. Yep...the multiple silver hole was a blast. I am going to keep going back to the park until the high hits stop coming...then go back some more.
Good luck on your next hunt.

Man you're doing great at that location..wtg on the ring and awesome coins.

Nat

Nice Injun,
I can still see the detail on the coin if you look closely.
Way to go on the ring and the silvers, looks like you had a great outing.
HH.

Thanks Nat. This site still produces after 30 years and it just amazes me. I have been there at least 20 times in the last 6 months alone. Over the 30 year span....I couldn't even begin to count the times.

Thanks Bull. That injun looks even 10 times better under the magnifying glass.

Cool finds! Awesome job for a 2hr hunt. How do you do it?

Good finds! Sometimes, it's better to be lucky than good (though good pays off in the long run!). I used to find those good luck tokens a lot when I first started, but very few lately.

Congrats on a great day of detecting!! Silver and gold, can't beat a day that good!!

excellent finds silverfreak :o and just alittle bit of luck is a good thing to ! a big congrats ;)

Thanks Goio. Just a little luck and an old "hunted out" site that keeps producing.
