yesterday me and poison ivy digger went to a new spot for us atleast . Searched around alittle got some buttons, bullets and then out of no where the MXT started screaming like a banshee and laying on the ground was one of these beauties still got signal and pulled out another ! at this point it turned into a bar brawl the hole was still singing put the Garret pro pointer in it went ape s@#t and out came another we couldnt beleive it then it happened again this holly tree was giving birth to these box plates 5 total this has been one of the least likely to happen things that by god happened!Enjoy i know i am .

That is awesome been hunting civil war stuff for years and all I want is to find one. Those are in great shape. Got a pic of the backs? Are the hooks all still there?

There not as rare as they used to be. :-\

That makes no sense whatsoever. The more that are found the rarer they become. They could not have been more rare in the past...laws of physics and all... ;D

BEST RELIC HAUL THAT I HAVE SEEN ON Tnet!!!!!!!!!! Wow! :o :o :o

5 in one hole...sorry, that IS a rare find...even to find one today is rare. Maybe this happened like in Crouchs book where the rebels captured these and stripped off the box plates. Seems in his book an early hunter found a spot after one of the early battles a good distance from the battlefield and founf like 50 in a small area. Great BANNER find. Congrats!

OK that's just not rite....LOLOL Fantastic find for sure... BANNER goes without saying. Congrats to you. I'm sure you earned it........

Incredible find! I've been digging V.A. for 25 years, never heard of 5 plates in one hole. Very rare find, congrats on a well deserved banner.

Holy cow...Now thats a great great great great great find(s).......Congrats on the Banner  jgas

Holy moly! Thats freeking amazing. Congrats!

I have always wondered what the mysterious significance of the holly tree is .. Just back in July, another digger in the same general area, had two plates jump out from under a holly tree, too!

At any rate 5 plates from one tree is truly remarkable. Congratulations!

Thats truly amazing! Astonishing! Great finds!
