Could someone explain the procedure for using a probe?

How do you avoid scratching?

Exactly what does a probe tell you?

Recovery after probing?

Thanks folks for all the help!!

Sounds like your talking about a metal probe as opposed to electronic probe........If your good with your detector pinpointing the probe will tell you the exact depth and location of your target, you can use it to help pop a coin or ring out of the ground without digging a hole, this comes in handy when hunting places where you can't cut the sod or dig a hole.

Thanks for the quick answer.

I will have to practice popping a target out without digging a hole.

Do you use the probe to widen, or push aside the ground over the target?

Thanks again!!
