As always, I'm in for any time period!!
Traveling out of Tallahassee here I'll just rent a vehicle to save wear and tear on my personal autos and so we can take a few folks with us and/or pick a few up on the way...........
Last time Bobby and I were stylin' in a rental car on the way to Uvalde...........
But we might need to pick up something a little bigger if we have more co-travelers!!
The Uvalde rental wasn't quite as nice as the one we got for CTH3 tho................
I still wish I woulda got pictures of us driving it thru the fields out there at Caldwell, but HERTZ might not have thought it was as amusing as I did........
I kept telling Bobby we needed to wash all the dust and dirt off, but he kept saying "it's gonna rain before you have to turn it in." and sure enuf it did! I snapped the pic AFTER it was cleaned off!
And I'll make sure I drag Bobby along to Uvalde, even if I have to kidnap him, cause it wouldn't be the same w/o the entire SixPack there!! Besides, he's the guy who knows how to arrange some serious diggin' when need be!!

I'll check with the owners.Last Oct we were a week ahead of the hunters.I don't know about Manza but Justin does have hunters at his place.As soon as I find out for sure,I'll get back.

It's even open to you!!! Lol!!!! Who ever wants to come is welcome!!! Just make sure you want to have fun and not worry about what we find! It's about being together having fun metal detecting and searching around. If we find something, well, that's a bonus!!!

We are serious when we hunt but this will not be a serious hunt if you know what I mean. Camaraderie first, finding old stuff second! We all probably do all our serious hunts closer to where we all live anyway!

Slough question! Is the slough considered pubic or private waters. Is wading/swimming permitted. I happen to have a water machine or three and thought I might venture into the water there, but would like to assure in advance that permission is part of the overall hunt, and that there are not too many water moccasins in the area (one is too many
)

As I said above,bill,the slough is mainly dry.You may find a small pool here or there if it has rained recently,but doubt if you will find water deep enough to submerge yourself in.It is just a kind of hit and miss thing.The slough on the properties are open to us.

Deer hunting starts the first of November but dove hunting begins in September. You will hear a lot of popping going on during dove season.
Our calendar currently shows these events for the months of September & October:
September 3-4 3rd Annual Briscoe Ranch Beef BBQ Cook-Off Challenge
September 24-25 Utopiafest Music Festival < This is in Utopia.
October 16 2nd Annual SANE Golf Tournament < This is in Concan.
