Okay folks, I'm helping WSD find a perfect area that would accommodate lodging for all...camping, RV's/campers and motel. I ran across this site the other night, then lo and behold WSD sent it to me last night. I looked it over and thought WOW, I really like this place. The prices are very, very reasonable, the only thing it would be a little bit further to drive...but we can carpool to the hunt sites.
The camping/RV area are in the same compound, just about about a mile from the motel.

It sure beats that other place. I called the motel today and Mirta told me it was 2 buildings that are the motel a total of 38 rooms, and quoted that we could have it for "Member Guest" prices. The camp/RV area was another phone # but those prices were very reasonable too. I did mention to Mirta about detecting there, so she told me I would have to talk to the manager. WSD will do that!! I do have the names of all the eating establishments too.

Look around this site and tell me what you think. I counted approximately 25 people showing interest of attending this hunt.

Wow....a place with a cool history to boot? Sounds like the perfect place for us....of course it will be really hard not to detect so I hope Daddy gets permission! lol

You may even get the bed John Wayne,Travis Tritt slept in.Alamo City is just north of there(closed now) but that is where several westerns were filmed, including The Alamo and the actors stayed at Ft Clark.

Looks really nice Judy! The only detractor I can see is the 40 miles distance between there and Uvalde.
Count me in if that's where the group wants to stay!!
